Looks wise he reminds me of Rahul Dravid, but he can be one note. As Altamash, it was his chemistry with Naimal that shined more than his acting skills, and in general a rich bad boy with hots for a simple sweet girl track never fails lol.
Yes, I think Izza's character did a lot of the heavy lifting in Anaa. You had a very conventional good girl, but she was also lively and outspoken and not very 'bechari' or the typical 'poor' relative. And Naimal played her quite well- whether or not it was a challenging role for her I don't know because I get the impression that she shares similarities with the character. And there was chemistry between her and Usman. I like Sarah but I've not watched a drama of hers where I personally found her romance tracks particularly interesting or passionate. She always looks great but it's all very mild and lukewarm.
Altamash was kind of a blank canvas and it gave people a chance to interpret him however they want to. I've always said that he was one of those heros from those romance novels that are written especially for women. The guy is good-looking and rich and what if he's a bit of a ruthless sociopath to everyone else in his life- he's got a soft spot for the people he loves. There's not a lot of depth and he's doesn't seem very human, if that makes sense. But it doesn't matter because the books are written so that women imagine themselves as the female lead falling in love with a rich bad boy.
