Author Minnie Vaid's fourth book - titled 'ISRO's Magnificent Women and Their Flying Machines' - is all about the women who made India's Mars Mission a success (in 2014). Talking to MAKERS India, Minnie reveals why she chose to write about the women among the scientists and other workforce in this historic mission. Although ISRO has less than 20% women in its workforce, about 40% of the team members in the Mars Orbiter Mission were women, not in subordinate roles to their male colleagues - but equal or higher roles, across functions like navigation, communication, design, operation, tracking, etc. Minnie hopes that these women's stories will inspire more girls to pursue Science - a mission shared by the ISRO itself, which opened up to social media for the first time, as part of the MOM.

People are pretty much waiting now to offend hindus because they know it will get them trending and free promotion. For one second I was like who makes rakhi out of leathers now. I mean that pretty much goes against the religion in the first place. Turns out there is no connection , Peta just wants you to protect cow cause we are supposed to consider it as our sisters now.
