What makes Deepika stand out from her contemporaries? - Page 3

There are numerous factors:

1. She always stood out. See those pictures of Anupam Kher's acting school. She looks like a bonafide heroine. See her with Himesh R in Naam Hai Tera and the Close Up ad. She did not look like a newcomer but a star.

2. She is gorgeous and has striking features. Looked great in Indian and Western wear.

3. She had a fabulous debut. I don't remember even one person disliking her. She was the national crush.

4. She did some great films post Cocktail. CE, RL, BM, Padmaavat were a great variety of roles. R2, Houseful, YJHD were commercially great. Lafange Parindey and Finding Fanny were very different roles.

5. She did not do many flowerpot roles.

6. All her contemporaries had their own style: Kat, PC, Sonam.

7. She could be both mainstream and niche (Piku, FF)

Priyanka Chopra deserved to be the no. 1 actress. I used to be so upset that she never was at the top spot when she was better than all the mainstream actresses💔. Priyanka performed so brilliantly in many movies but she never got the full adulation which anyone else in her place would've got.

I related with Priyanka as even after I did all the WORK in the team and it was MY IDEA, the other girl with no contribution whatsoever to the work would instead reap the benefits and then offer me to take few of the cheapa*s reward as if she is doing me a favour🤬 and was always favored over me. Every single time I did the work alone with no support from the other members and was neglected at the end.

I try to stand up for myself but then I am made to feel my views just don't matter. 1) she looks classic - means modern and tradition too

2) She can fit in princess look of 13th century and a modern 21st century girl too (not many look good in both)

3) Her choice of movies is good

4) Her debut with srk

5) Her affairs with two top actors (one her husband now)

6) Shes good at garnering attention on herself (self PR)

8) Shes an all rounder (not that great actor but good dancer, good looks, good dressing on screen etc)

9) SLBs muse (would she be no. 1 if she had no ram leela, baji roa and padmavaat)?
