It's magical the star gazing scene works perfectly for it I like that you focused on this scene only mostly

The star gazing scene instantly came to mind when I thought of vidding this song....and it's such a long scene that there's many moments to pick from it to use in a VM....I've used bits and pieces in other VMs before but the languid, sweeping sa pace of Taare Ginn seemed to suit it to just let it flow :)

There's a serenity in this song...and there was a serene contentment in that stargazing Shivika scene too....so match ho gaya :)

Exactly. But sadly, they will never use the time to actually build up dhang ke tracks and pre-shoot in advance to have a bank to air. This business as usual approach of shooting for a daily soap won't work in this Covid-19 era....cuz as you correctly pointed out, anyone can be diagnosed positive at any time and that will bring the whole operation to a stop over and over again to test everyone, isolate etc. etc.

That is the whole reason the lockdown happened to begin with.....cuz right now there just isn't any efficient way to get people back to work in such kind of jobs which require physical interaction.....but people just want to begin shoots for the heck of it without realizing the high cost of restarting and the mess each time a person gets diagnosed positive.

Frankly, if they so badly want to do daily soaps right now, they will need to isolate the whole team for months in a location away from Mumbai to be able to control the environment in strict manner.....cuz yahaan toh mess hi rahega with people continuing to interact with other people in the course of their work and daily activities as things open up....it's just not feasible to conduct shoots like this right now.

Yup even I think making films or web series will still be more feasible options basically anything that has a locked script and time duration that is required in making that allows the crews to be in that mindset that it is x amount of days job and plan accordingly it's just more practical too otherwise with dailies they will have to struggle on daily basis with kabhi start kabhi stop how many breaks will they do how many tests they can do how many changes they can do on daily basis like e.g now parth is positive obviously he isn't available and just be overtly optimistic everyone else turns out negative and they resume and go ahead then they will have to adjust again for his absence they can't just go ahead like this kabhi bhi koi bhi gayab unless they all decide to make pandemic part of the dailies too ke everyone is dealing with it even in the dailies 🤷‍♀️

I was once again just struck by the variety they have as in we have literally a scene for every situation granted it needs some digging but they end up providing us enough appropriate content I can't imagine doing a song like taare gin with anyone else who doesn't have any such scene caz this is very literal taare gin I mean the context of the song the lyrics but lo and behold shivika has provided us with that too. Also thattu chanda main tera sitara line from main tumahra just remind me of shivika it is so meant for them

And when I say every scene I mean it like oknit kinda happened with luck factor I had no memory of it but when I imported I saw it and went this is my scene in that hai hai majboori shivaay is looking at his watch and it works with anika going kar bandh sabhi ghadhiyan😆 But what am saying is itne minute se word ke liye bhi if we pay enough attention we usually end up finding something from their whole journey which isn't something available with others where we have to just keep repeating the same scenes over and over and then it comes a point where one know acha bas yeh yeh standard scenes honge in every mix

I totally know what you mean😆.....the funny thing is when we were making the VMs in real time as the story was unfolding, I used to sometimes feel like they don't have enough intense angsty scenes or enough "happy" scenes to vid.....but now that we have the whole complete journey, we can literally pick and choose every type of mood from the journey to fit a whole variety of lyrics😆

Like in your Maskhari VM, I just had this big smile on my face the moment the mandolin tune started and you put the jungle champa ride bit on it....and then the transition to "Kar band sabhi ghadiyaan" with that hai hai yeh majboori sequence....ekdum perfect flow tha and it just served as a reminder of how joyful they are that an uplifting tune can get even more lifted up by being vidded on them.

*Edit: Oh and in Taare Ginn, I loved using Shivaay's little "prank" on her to the lyrics of "dhoka zaraa sa hai"😆.....again, comes back to your point about how little bits of lyrics pe bhi we can find apt scenes so many times.

Main Tumhara is LOVE....my fav. song from the album that just makes my heart so full....I want to vid that too....but I went with Taare Ginn first cuz Main tumhara is also more melancholic....it has this bittersweet feel to it.

Btw Fary, do you have like a seperate drive of all your Shivika VMs? I want to bookmark for reference :)

Oh main tumhara leaves me kinda hollow too which is why despite loving it so much I didn't went Into mixing it. It's so beautiful but that bichadhne wala feel na abhi am not in that state of mind to mix it.

Haha arey kahin se bhi inspiration milaa ho but Shivika ka champa ride bit is on another level by itself that always brings a BIG smile on my face....it fit SO perfectly on the Maskhari tune😆

Main Tumhara I also considered making on Kesar-Gulaal but the "mere chanda" line keeps bringing me back to Shivika...lol mixed feelings hain.....chalo will see if I manage to vid it.

That's the thing that is almost impossible to do on someone else when for us the chanda and sitara has been shivika throughout their journey that has been a strong metaphor for them I mean technically anika ke chaand ka suraj is shivaay but still sitare is also very prominent there so kisi aur ko imagine karna is very difficult
