That's where the issue is, she's grown up hearing beauty is everything for a woman, to lure a husband capable of giving her everything. That's why she deems even her education isn't anything in front of her beauty and at that time I guess, such marriages were common so maybe she is scared of Ani-Boni being a thing, even before Boni grows up, which is quite disgusting but she called Boni a khilona with which Ani is going to play so...
