Any list about self made stars is incomplete without these names unless of course the question specifically entails lesser known stars but then lesser known people can hardly be called stars

If it said self made lesser known outsiders Or self made actors then a different set of names would have come up

Shahid Kapoor is a self made star, I don't think his dad was in the picture when he was growing up

and you can see him in actual clips behind Karisma, aish, etc. as a backup dancer, and he wasn't a rich like bhumi, tapsee, ranveer, deepika etc. I think his mom had to work really hard for the family, as did shahid since a young age.

Bhumi's late father was some sort of govt minister etc.

When he was boy friennd of kareeena first

He got advantage of that

Kareena recomended him for 4-5 movies she did

Others flopped but

Jab we met where he was noticed kareena had bobby deol kicked out and got shahid in that role

so hows he a self made star

His father was a freedom fighter and was known to Gandhis and Nehru etc

With such backing how can he be struggler?

of course his dad died young but SRK can always leverage his dads connections as freedom fighter and big leaders friendships

without knowing anyones back ground we say true star true star
