Regardless. She was sponsored. doesn’t matter who sponsored her. The problem is she is penning out a note as if she achieved it on her own and thanking the academy as if she won an Oscar herself. She’s manipulating the audience into thinking this is a huge achievement when it really is not

This is not abnormal for her so I guess she’s used to doing that.

Everyone is sponsored. That's how the process works. You're making it seem like others "get it by merit" (whatever that means) and only Alia got sponsored.

First two actors need to sponsor an actor. Then it goes to the category committee. If they approve that name, it goes to the Academy's Board of Directors. Then then decide who they will invite out of all the sponsored names. There would be thousands sponsored each year and a few get picked from that.

Doesn’t matter. She still needs her PR to boast over something which really is not a big deal. Even the films and popularity that she was sponsored based off were rooted in lobbying and messed up tactics for her.

So who really gives a flying hoot. Her success will always hold less weight. Let’s face it.

Err... a lot of HW stars also brag about it. I have seen many posting about it on the instagram or Twitter. Priyanka also had a million articles spread about it. She even posted pics of herself voting on the website for the Oscars.

merit in that case means members who have exhibited a huge variety of work which is in the opinion of the people sponsoring her, The experience and ability to decide and judge World Cinema !!!

the others are not even on the table for consideration, because they squash out any competition !!!!!!
