To all the bangalis here, I had read a long time back in some book that the origin of Chinrgi Malai Curry was in SE asia and the name is actually Malay curry that came from Malaysia and in day to day life became Malai curry in bengali. Has anyone else heard of the same thing? Because come to think about it malai curry pretty much uses the base found in most SE asian recipes- Coconut milk. 🤔
