They're in later fanfic type versions. I believe andhe ka putr is actually from a play where Krishna (male) said it. Obviously, it means Panchali takes the blame 😆. Like the good things she said were credited to male Krishna in Star Mahabharat.

These things really got the public imagination running just like the nonexistent Radha-Krishna love story. Now, everyone imagines it's all true. So the shows show it.

Sadly literally every culture & their custodians credit men as saviours of women. I really love Drau's character. Along with Durga/Parvati she is my most favorite female written about/existed

Are these myths shown in shows only? They are not mentioned in any book?

Not at least in any authentic book

By the way has anyone seen DD show Draupadi.

All the five husbands are so demanding in it, asking for Draupadi at a time

Worst is Bheem, he often threatens Draupadi to return to Hidimba if his wishes are not fulfilled

Nakul is pretty cute though, he said that he always felt what kind of a wife a handsome guy like him would get but God gave him someone as beautiful as Draupadi

I had not seen much episode but bheem was wrongly portrayed in that serial coz he was d one who could never see draupadi upset & cared a lot 4 her , even he fulfilled every desire of draupadi.

Brc chopra s Mahabharata gets a lot of credit for promoting such myths. It was the first Mahabharata ever made. And television is anyday had a far better reach than play/skit/books. It has that andhe ka putra dialogue. Bloodbath. And drapaudi s open hair thing.

BRC was the closest to the real epic, everything after that (even Ramanand Sagar's SriKrishna) made lot of useless n dramatic changes.

RS SK although didn't have much distortions, but they had made Yudhishtir's character too justified which I hated

But BRC has a disadvantage that it was so close to reality, that people started taking it to be exact truth. No one would believe that Andhe ka putra was a false statement, no one will believe that Karna had ordered for disrobe, people take it that Duryodhan had got to know about Karna's birth secret (in reality he never got to know about it)
