I thought some hill states had the rule that only locals can buy land there.

I know Shimla had that rule. Maybe things have changed or maybe Nainital does not have that law.

If I'm not wrong, Disha Patani ke family UP se hai aur ab Nainital mein ghar jayadad hai.
