It Ends With Us is fantastic and a must-read. I read Verity and Regretting You both this year. Verity was very good while Regretting You was a decent read. I’ve read most of Colleen Hoover’s books and liked November 9, Maybe Someday and Without Merit at the time I read them. Now it might be different since everyone’s taste in romance evolves with time.

I’ve heard so much about Riley Sager in the past few months that I’ve been intending to get to his books at the earliest. Now that you say he is overrated, I might read the other books I’ve been meaning to read and leave his books for later.

I haven't read any other Christina Lauren's books too though I am interested in Josh and Hazel's Guide to Not Dating and their newest, The Honey-Don't List. I am not sure when I will pick them up and like you said, many people call it their best work so I might feel let down by other books they have written due to my expectations.

Have you read You Deserve Each Other by Sarah Hogle? I read it last month and fell in love with the story. It was wonderfully written and the concept was executed so well. I highly recommend!

I am really, really interested in It Ends With Us. I have only heard praises about that book so I will be definetly picking it up soon!

Riley Sager writes mediocre book so far. I still have one book left of his which I will be picking up but I just don't seem to be impressed by how he wraps up his endings. It's very unsatisfactory.

How were Such A Fun Age and Ghachar Ghochar?

Ghachar Ghochar is relatable if youve lived in an Indian middle class family. No major takeaways from the book. Its a short and decent read.

Such a fun age was okayish. It had a good message without being preachy but there was something missing. Idk what.

I’ve read good reviews of Josh and Hazel's Guide to Not Dating and not so great reviews of The Honey-Don't List. Might pick up one of their books when I feel like reading a romance.

No, I haven’t read You Deserve Each Other. Thanks for the recommendation, will definitely check it out soon.

I don’t think you will regret reading It Ends With Us. Colleen Hoover’s other books are also decent. The good thing about her writing is that each book deals with different situations and different kinds of characters; she doesn’t recycle her storylines or characters. Maybe you can start with some of her other books and then read It Ends With Us because you might not enjoy any of her other books after you read this one.

I had heard praise about Ghachar Ghochar so was wondering how it was. An Indian book I want to read is Cobalt Blue, I think they are adapting it into a movie with Prateik Babbar. Have you read the book?

I read a couple of similar reviews like yours about Such A Fun Age. I think it’s overrated because it was pick from Reese’s book club. I feel quite a few of her recent picks are overrated.

@Mayashika & GrimReaper: Have you read any books by Sally Rooney? She seems to be quite popular on Bookstagram. I didn’t find either of her books all that great but everyone else seems to think they are amazing, especially Normal People which is quite a hit and has been made into a tv show recently.

Havent read CB but heard about it. The blurb seems interesting. I dont trust popular book club recs 😆

I read Normal people. Itsoverhyped IMO. Yeah the characters are good and you might see yourself in them but it felt like the book didnt have a plot. Just random scenes from the MCs lives. I heard that the show is really good. I think ill watch it.

Few people I follow have loved Normal People but I have seen quite a people dnfing it too. It's on my tbr only because of the hype it's been getting otherwise it's not something I actively search for! Since you haven't liked it too, maybe I will just watch the show and skip the book.

I’m so glad someone agrees with me😛 Most people who’ve read Normal People have loved it making me wonder what’s wrong with my taste in books.
Same here, I also plan to watch the show.

So many books are being turned into shows/movies so it gives me the incentive to read the books I have been putting off before watching the shows/movies.

Don’t go by what I’ve said. You might just like the book if you read it, many people have. Do read about 50 pages just so that you get an idea about the book and what it’s about.
