Chapter-3

Bondita was about to fall in the study but balanced herself.

Ani(with concern): Are Mishti! Tum thik ho? Kya hua?

Boni: Wo. Mai…mai thik hoo patibabu. Bilkul thik.

Ani(with straight face): Par lg to nhi raha. Kuch kahne ayi ho? To saf saf kaho na itna q ghabra rahi ho. (Smiling) Mai tumhe daatunga thodi.

Bondita remembered something. Years ago Anirudh promised her that he will not scold her and smiled.

Boni: Ha wo mujhe pata hai ap datenge nhi par mujhe dar hai ki kahi ap naraaz na ho jaye.

Ani: Mishti tum kbse mujhse kuch kehne me hichkichane lagi. Tumhe hua kya hai. Mai sunna nhi v chahu tb v tum mujhe jo sunana ho wo suna hi deti ho fir aj kya ho gya.

Boni: Patibabu.(hesitantly) ye bat kuch alg hai.

Ani: Fir to mai jarur sunna chahunga Mishti. Aisi kaun si bat hai jisne meri sahasi Mishti ko itna nazuk bna diya hai.

Bondita blushed at Anirudh calling her His Mishti. Anirudh did not realise he referred Bondita as his.

Ani(sternly): Kaho Mishti . Mai sunne ke liye intezar kar raha hoo.

Boni(stammering): Patibabu……wo wo sampoo didi….(a sound came from behind and Ani noticed)…nahi nahi…wo wo mini didi (again a sound came from the same direction and Anirudh again noticed it and was sure there’s something fishy)..

Ani(firmly): Kaho Bondita.

“Wo wo patibabu mini didi aur sampoo didi mujhe yaha jabardasti leke ayi apko ye batane ke liye ki mai apse bahut bahut pyaar karti hoo aur ye batane me ab der nhi karna chahiye.” Bondita said in one breath.

Ani was surprised at first at what Bondita said. Did she really say this or he was dreaming. Then realised it is reality. Ani chuckled at her cutie wife’s behaviour. Her wife who has fire in his eyes when fighting for right has how much innocence in her eyes right now, who never fears a bit even before thousands of man, is standing nervous before her husband, who flawlessly put arguments in the court is unable to speak a line properly. His love has that power which can make her lioness an innocent doe.

Anirudh came out of his thoughts and sternly said “Sampoo- Mini samne ao mujhe pata hai tumlog yahi ho.”

Sampoo-Mini came as they were caught. They were looking down. Bondita also looking down.

Ani: kya hai ye sab? Kya matlab hai iska?

“Wo. Ani….” Mini was about to say something but trailed off seeing Anirudh glare.

Ani smiled wide and said “Thik hai aplog ja sakte hai. Mai Bondita se bat karna chahta hoo abhi.”

Sampoo-Mini surprisingly looked at each other and then a wide smile came on their face.

Bondita (innocently): Bat? Kya bat karni hai patibabu apko mujhse?

Ani(with mischievous smile): Ab wo to inke jane ke bad hi bata sakata hoo.

Sampoo-Mini chuckled.

Bondita (looking at Anirudh): Mtlb mai samjhi nahi.

Mini hit her head with palm and Sampoo- Ani smiled at her innocence. Sampoo was about to say something. Ani said controlling his emotions “Aplog jaiye mai smjha dunga”.
