Hey Guys,

Hope you all are safe whereever you are, its a tough time we are facing and this years has been a series of shocking news.

We lost so many lives of our soldiers and some celebrities as well, lets pray for the families of the soldiers who have lost their lives.

But one death from which I have still not come out is Sushant's death... he was my fav and my heart pains to think that I wont be able to see him on screen again😭 may his soul rest in peace.

Here is part 20 for all those who still want to read this story.

Part 20

He pulled back from the hug and looked at her before asking….. So I ask you again…. Will you marry me Khushi?

She closed her eyes….. Yes she whispered….

Finally… they heard others who were witnessing their emotional moment.

Finally Khushi… Lavanya screamed… Oh my god I am so happy for you both.. she said taking Khushi in a tight hug…

Lav… She was about to say…

No Khushi... don’t think about anything… just think that this is inevitable… you and Arnav were made for each other and no one can separate you… and I am sure Sheetal too will be happy watching on you from up there..

You think So... Khushi asked like an innocent child…

I know it Khushi Lavanya said…. Don’t have any more inhibitions Khushi… now you need to live for yourself and for Arnav… he deserves it for loving you unconditionally all these years…

Khushi looked at Arnav who gave an assuring smile to her which made her feel peaceful…

So Khushi as I said we are getting married next week... Arnav said while holding her hands tightly.

Payal and Manorama hugged Khushi and blessed her…

If you all don’t mind… I have a small request... Khushi said in a low tone… Can I and Arnav have a simple wedding without any big celebrations….

Arnav held her shoulders and turned her towards him… I knew it Khushi… that you will be asking for a simple wedding… don’t worry I have made all the arrangements… we will have a small temple wedding as Maa wants it to happen in front of the all mighty….

Khushi looked at Manorama….

I know you don’t believe in god Khushi… but this is my small wish... hope you will fulfil it.. she asked with hope in her eyes…

I believe in your belief Maa… Khushi said while holding Manormam’s hands… If you wish so we will do a temple wedding…

Ok then its late we all should take a leave now... I am sure Arnav and Khushi will have some catch up to do... Nk said dismissing their talks and slowly everyone left the couple alone...

Khushi looked at Arnav… How were you so sure that I will agree that you already did all the arrangements… Khushi asked Arnav in a curious voice…

You are wrong Khushi… I knew you will disagree, but I was also sure that I will make you agree… Itna Bharosa Tha mujhe Apne Pyaar Pe…. He said looking intently in her eyes.

How can you love me so much after all that I have done Arnav... she asked in a whisper... her voice breaking with pain…

I never stopped loving you Khushi… I didn’t know any other way… It was always you… only you… I wish I could have admitted that to Sheetal… we all would have been in a better place

Khushi gulped her emotions… Arnav I… I need time… to….

You have all the time in the world except delaying our marriage Khushi… that I will not wait for anything... he said…

I know… its all too much for you… you need time……. to love me back the way I love you, though I know you do love me……but still I will wait as long as it takes… but I also know… that you cant resist my love either... he said in a whisper that made her more nervous.

She was sleepless, things were moving too fast and though she agreed for the wedding... she had her own insecurities… some how the fact that she is gonna replace her sister in Arnav’s life was making her apprehensive… it would have been better if Sheetal would have never known about their love…. But she gave up her life for this being one of the reasons was making her restless…..

She was wandering near the poolside which was next to Arnav’s bedroom… She looked at the sky which had twinkling stars all over shining bright… there was no moon today or looking at it would have given her peace…. She looked at one such bright star and went into thoughts…. You believed in these stars di… so help me out…. Convey your thoughts through them… please tell me you are ok… you are happy wherever you are… I was never there for you when you were going through so much… I was drowned in my own miseries and to keep myself away from Arnav I never realized that I was neglecting you… If I would have been there I could have saved you.. You were always there for me as my shield and when it was my time to be there for you... I was not there… I hope you will forgive me Di…

I have agreed to marry Arnav Di…. I don’t know know what I am doing is right or wrong… but I am tired... Tired of running away from my feelings… I cant hurt him anymore Di.. I have destroyed enough…. I don’t want to be the reason for his miseries any more…. Please keep us in your blessings Di… I need it the most to make myself believe that I am on the right path.

You are Khushi…… suddenly she heard someone behind and turned to see Payal standing there looking at her with a smile on her face.

Bhabhi aap….

You didn’t sleep Khushi…? Payal asked.

Woh neend nahi aah rahi thi... Khushi admitted...

Come lets sit here payal said making her sit near the poolside and asked her to dip her feet in water…. Khushi did so... it was chilled… she hissed...

Don’t worry it will get better Payal said looking at Khushi…

Khushi didn’t know whether Payal was talking about the chilled water or about the changes happening in her life…

I know you are nervous about your future and I admit its not easy to accept the change specially when you have faced a disaster in life… but we all have to move on in life some day or the other right... we cant just sit and think about the past… life has given you a second chance to change every wrong into right this time… don’t miss this opportunity Khushi…

If you will think about past you will not reach anywhere…. You know, from the time I have known about Arnav and you… I have seen immense pain in his eyes and this time I want to be selfish for my brother in law who is more than a brother to me… he loves you a lot Khushi… accept his love with open arms and without any resistance… you will be happy... I can bet and you too know it that no one can love you the way Arnav loves you… but I am also a women and I don’t want you to force yourself for something you are not ready for.. but I can see that you too love him a lot… its just that you are scared and the guilt in you is making you push him away… but you know its fuitile, the more you push him the more closer he will come to you… so leave all your thoughts and get ready to accept this happiness in your life… said payal with a smile.

Thanks Bhabhi… I know you all love him a lot and I promise I will never become a reason for his misery any more, yes its true I… I too love him and someday I will admit it to him as well, but I don’t want to wait till that time… becoz I want to start somewhere and being his wife… his partner for life is the first step towards it.

Payal gave a wide smile to Khushi… hearing her positive words has made Payal happy and tension free... Somewhere she was worried whether Khushi will back out from her decision... But now she is sure that happy days are to come for both Arnav and Khushi…

Next day Khushi was getting ready to leave for office when Arnav knocked on her door… She opened it to find him standing at the door…

You going somewhere he asked her…

Ya… we need to leave for office right? Khushi asked…

Arnav smiled at her in confusion… Khushi you forgot… we are getting married this week? He asked with an amused smile….

So…? she asked…. Its not that we need so much time for a temple wedding Arnav..., also I have too much work pending for the dubai project… since I was busy with Lavanya’s wedding I couldn’t concentrate much on it,, I wanted to be with her at her special moment, but now its getting piled up.. She said while busy keeping things in her bag…

Suddenly she felt the silence in the room and looked at Arnav to see his face extort with emotions…. She couldn’t make it.. Did she say anything wrong…

What? She asked… Why are you looking at me like this?

Arnav sighed while gritting his teeth… nothing…. Its not a big affair for you anyways isn’t it… its.. its just a simple wedding which will be finished in a day…. May be like an assignment for you right…? He asked frustrated.

You took out time for Lavanya’s special day… but something special that’s gonna happen in our life… not a big deal for you… isn’t it Khushi?

Suddenly she felt pain and anger in his voice… Arnav... I... why are you saying like this…? She asked

Are you doing a favour by agreeing to marry me Khushi? Because I can see you are not much excited for it...

Yes I agree that we decided for a simple wedding... but that doesn’t change the fact that its gonna be the most memorable moment of our life… or may be its for me… my life only... said Anav with a mocking smile…

I should have known its gonna be like this… or else for a marriage that’s gonna happen this week, you don’t have time to come with me for any kind of shopping or any arrangements, its not that I wanted to make it grand Khushi… but I don’t have good memories of my first marriage as you know in what circumstances I married Sheetal… but with you… its gonna be my dream that is getting fulfilled….

Leave it…. I will wait for you down… lets go to office and work…he left saying that...

Khushi was still at her place… did she act so ignorant about his feelings…she wiped her face that was sweating becoz of the turmoil she felt mins back….

What should she do? He was looking so fresh and excited when she opened the door… but now... its like she again became the reason for his gloominess… She has do something… she cant let him feel that way... she has to make it up…

She came and sat beside him in the car and he kicked of the engine… there was silence in the car….

She thought of starting the conversation….. Mmmm… Arnav…I… can we… can we go out for lunch… I will wind up my work till that time...

He changed the gears and said after a moment… its ok Khushi... you don’t have to change your plans… you have work to finish go ahead he said while continuing to look at the road ahead.

There is no change of plan Arnav… I am sure I will be able to finish my work by afternoon and I had planned this lunch in the morning itself… please can we go for lunch… hmmm your favourite Italian restaurant she said with excitement in her voice and he could see that she was really excited about it and didn’t had the heart to deny… may be he is overreacting he thought.

Ok he nodded... let me know once you are free… he said

Khushi smiled in relaxation atleast he agreed she thought… I will make sure you have a nice time Arnav….

She wanted to ensure everything goes well as planned… hence she finished her work quickly and by 1 knocked at Arnav’s cabin…

Come in he said while engrossed in his laptop…

Shall we leave… he heard her saying that’s when he remembered they had a lunch plan… he too got tied up in work… Ya sure he said while getting up from his seat…

Arnav… if you don’t mind can I drive? she asked…. He was surprised…

You didn’t know driving right?

Ya… I learnt it when I was away for my course after Di’s marriage... she admitted…

Ok… sure go ahead… but why today you are in a mood to drive? He asked curiously… you never asked before...

Becoz today I felt like it… and to say I have few surprises for you….

His heart jumped a bit… this was after long he saw a kind of excitement in her voice… as if she was really happy within her heart… suddenly he forgot about their unpleasant conversation that happened in the morning and he was looking forward for the lunch and her surprise

They reached the restaurant and he was surprised to see she had done advance booking and the hotel was quite empty… especially where they were seated….

Khushi…. Did you really? He asked in surprise…

She smiled….I asked them not to reserve the nearby tables… she said not meeting his eyes….

Why? He asked giving intense stare to her…. She Knew he will ask...

Becoz I wanted us to talk alone without any disturbance….

She took a deep breathe as she knew his eyes were constantly staring her….. Arnav… its not that I am not happy about this marriage or doing any favour on you… please don’t say like that ever.. She said in an emotional voice

He looked down in regret… I.. I am sorry for my outburst in the morning Khushi… its just that…

You don’t have to say anything Arnav… I know what your thoughts are and I can understand… but be assured... I want this relationship to work as much as you want it… just give me sometime to accept the changes... will you..?

He smiled at that… I will Khushi… anything for you he said while taking her hands in his… just be there with me always… and never leave me again… he said with a shiver in his voice and her eyes too got moist…

I will not... she said… I cant leave you ever again Arnav… I have learnt to live with you and I don’t know any other way... If I ever falter in expressing my emotions to you... please hold me… don’t let me be alone… I know with you by my side I will learn to fall in love again

You know years back including you everyone else told me that I have never loved you the way you loved me… may be its true… the reason was my own insecurities, for me my world started with Di and ended with her and when I met you...the things you were making me feel were beyond my imagination… I never thought I will fall in love with someone but when it happened I couldn’t even get time to feel the sparks of love as I came to know the heart breaking truth of my sisters feelings for you…

So I never really could love you the way you loved me… and then I went on a guilt spree and couldn’t come out of it…

But don’t think I didn’t realize or acknowledge your feelings for me… I just didn’t wanted to think in that direction or I knew I may give up on my resolution to stay away from you… but now I really want to give it a chance… I know this was coming in future.. I know you would have proposed me sooner or later after I came out of my depression state… but I didn’t wanted to accept it as my guilt was always coming in the way of your love for me.. but now I just want to forget everything that happened and live life ahead and that can only happen if you will help me fall in love with you again and this time I want to love you the way you love me… I want to give you back whatever is yours… she said with tears in her eyes and he couldn’t take it any more and got up to hug her….. she embrassed him while he sat beside her….

Shhhh… bas Khushi...I don’t want to know anything more…. I... I never thought you will tell all this… I….its beyond my expectations… you made my day Khushi…he said while squeezing her frame more into him… making him believe she is there in his arms and this time forever….

He pulled back to look at her face which were wet with tears… he caressed her face while wiping off all the tears…. don’t look at me like that Khushi…. You don’t know what I am feeling inside my heart right now….

Her shivering hands cupped his face…. You can tell me… I am here to listen to you now... she whispered and he broke down badly….. why?.. Why? Did you leave me Khushi….. he said while joining his forehead to hers… I was so alone… broken… God.. I cant tell you how much I love you… how much more you mean to me….

Will you love me like this forever…? She asked in innocence…

Forever…. Till I am alive and even after that….his lips descended down locking her eyes in an intense stare…

Arnav… she whispered while breathing heavily… someone will see… we are in a public place…

You have ensured that no one else can see… he whispered coming closer… and even if it happens I don’t care, saying so he locked his lips with hers taking her frame into a tight embrace…..

She felt at peace when his soft lips touched hers…. Her hands on its own caressed his hairs which made him groan in pleasure and he bit her lower lip squeezing her more into him, his lips were creating havoc on her senses and Arnav? While he was loosing all his control… her innocent response took him back to memory lane, the time when he had shared such passionate moments with her… Khushi…. He breathed while pulling back and looked at her flushed face… her eyes closed… her lips red with his assaults and her chest heaving heavily… she was too desirable for him at this moment and the thought itself made him groan and he pushed himself aside to which she finally came back to her senses and realized what just happened…. I… she started...

Don’t say anything… he snapped or I don’t know how I will control myself with you…. He said looking at her intently and she averted her eyes unable to take his stares which were unnerving her… I.. I am hungry… she said diverting the topic and he realized they are yet to order food…

Ya… I will order food… saying so he sat on the opposite chair… sitting with her is too dangerous for him at the moment..

They ordered food and had small chats.. there was slight awkwardness between them but it became normal when the food arrived as they were too hungry…

While coming out… she again insisted on driving… now where are we going? he asked pulling his seat belt… he was in a very good mood.. They had the most pleasant lunch and he was feeling happy after days…

She looked at him in an excited smile… you will know… she said while changing gears and he was really excited to see what else she has planned today..

They were on the roads… and she could feel him staring at her continuously…

Arnav… you are making me conscious now.. if you will stare at me like this.. I.. I will loose my concentration on driving…

He smirked at her… do I affect you so much? He asked in a playful tone….

Don’t stop me Khushi… let me have my fill…. I never thought this day would ever come in my life.. when you will be sitting beside me like this and we will be going on a long drive…. He said in a serious tone..

She looked at him with emotions swirling in her eyes and could see the same in his eyes as well…

I just want to have my fill by looking at your face… don’t stop me... he continued.

Finally they reached their destination and he was surprised to see they had come to a jewellery showroom…

He was shocked to see Nk and Lavanya as well….

He hugged them both and asked what are you guys doing here and Khushi why have we come here? He asked in curiosity..

She smiled and just pulled him inside…. Don’t you want to buy rings for the wedding Raizada? She asked with a smile on her face and he gave a huge smile in return while pulling her with force towards him… he came closer and whispered… if this is the way you are going to surprise me every day…I don’t know whow I will return your surprises my love…

She shivered with his tone…

MMhhhhhmmm….. We are still here Arnie… Nk said smiling….

So what dude? You both are just married I don’t get it what are you doing here instead of romancing each other…

Lavanya smiled at that… Khushi requested us to come even though we thought its your moment… but still she insisted us to come… he looked at her knowing her reason…

These two are the most important people in our life Arnav… they both stood with us in each and every situation good or bad… I owe my life to them… If Nk wouldn’t have solved the case I would have…. She didn’t even want to talk about it and Lav….? If she wouldn’t have hold on to hope of getting me cured... I wouldn’t have been standing in front of you like this… she said while looking at all.

Ab bas karo… we don’t want to be emotional Ok Nk said… and Arnav was grateful that Khushi thought of calling them…

Lets get on to the actual work we have come for Lavanya said…

They chose their wedding rings and returned back to their home with happiness on their faces...

They showed their rings to everyone at home and they all were delighted and excited for the event.

While going back to their rooms he called Khushi…

Khushi…? Will you accompany me tomorrow or you have work?

I wanted to show you something…

She smiled… I know… I am ready to vist your designing studio Arnav….

He was shocked… how did you know?

She smiled and came closer to him while taking his hands in hers… I know this much that you have designed something for me… and it’s after years you have entered your studio….

He gulped… it’s for you… only for you, he said while tucking her strands behind her ears…..

I know and I cant wait to see… will wait for tomorrow... saying so she pecked him on his cheek and ran away….and he chuckled like a kid….

Things are looking up now. Khushi has allowed herself to get involved fully.

Though felt bad for Arnav seeing Khushi's nonchalant behavior towards the wedding when he was looking forward to enjoying himself with Khushi, Glad to see Khushi realizing her mistake seeing the hurt in Arnav's pain and took the initiative and opened up her heart to Arnav about her insecurities which really overwhelmed with emotions and happy that Khushi is ready to move on from her past but needed some time which he is glad to give her that. Finally, everything is moving on in the right direction for the couple.
