Chapter 13: A beginning of a Mess

Rawte's Mansion.

Arjun is looking at Riya's retreating figure without blinking his eyes until the lonely teardrop escaped on his left eye and fell down on his hand. He touched his left eye where tears are escaping uncontrollable.

"Why do you love me this much, Riya? What did I do to deserve this much emotion from you? I don't deserve you! I should get this straight in my head!" Arjun murmured himself to console his broken heart.

"I shouldn't feel this way for her, this has to stop either I like it or I don't like it. Why it hurts if I don't want them? Why I feel empty if I push her from my life?" He started to ask the question himself, but alas, if he is not ready to open the gates of his heart nothing or no one can save him from the self prison he is imposing on him. The empty walls can't answer him back, all it could do is just staring him blankly.

Once he feels the feelings are rushing up like an of droplets of the ocean.

"I have to go and see her, she was crying while leaving. I must check upon on her." Arjun thought himself.

He quickly wiped off his tears hastily and set his hair and shirt so that others couldn't notice that he cried or he is dwelling in pain. He dashed out of the room to downstairs.

God, this man is so confusing he gives her pain and yet he wants to cure it. How ironic it is?. Either he can hurt her by rejecting her love or cure her by accepting her love but not both.

On the other side of the corridor.

Riya is wiping her tears that are flowing down like a river. She didn't know whether she can follow whatever she promised him in the heat of an argument or to let him go from her life at least for some time. She just told everything in the moment of anger and pain and being rejected by him continually and that too blindly with whatsoever not proper ground to reject her. When her own words sink in her deeply, she feels it's wrong to one extent and right to another extent. Just like him, now her mind also in chaos.

She had reached the staircase in her own world that she didn't realize until ETF is watching her with confused eyes. She looks so pale and looks like she cried.

'She was eager to meet him, what has happened to her?" Rathod asked out of concern.

"Don't know! Did they fight again like in the hospital?" Sree said, horrified thinking about them.

"We should check her " this time Liza said with concern.

At Hall

Before they could call her out or reach for her she had reached the last staircase that leads to the hallway. They followed her after 2 to 3 mins by then Mr.Rawte saw her coming towards the hall and sat on her previous place where she sat after coming here.

Mr&Mrs Rawte looked at her face, which is looking all gloomy and dull. Arjun's mother couldn't understand her reasons for silent behavior, but Mr.Rawte read her face and he has a mild idea who is behind her dull face.

"Have you met him? Is he alright? And Are you okay, Riya?" Mr.Rawte asked her to clarify his doubts.

"Yes... Nooo " She didn't know how to reply him.

"We didn't meet him yet, we thought he might be busy or sleeping so we thought of coming back here" Rathod replied standing at the end of the staircase supporting Riya.

"I'm good! " Riya tucked a strand of hairs behind her ear to hide the nervousness.

"Yes, alright then let me call him down" Mr.Rawte informed them.

All of them came and sat in the lobby. Before Mr.Rawte could phone him or send someone to call him down, Arjun came, and standing just 5 feet away from them. Everyone looked at him except the person for whom he came all the way after pushing her away. He just started to walk towards them and sit next to his dad silently, which is opposite to Riya.

There is a pin-drop silence in the room and no one felt it's necessary to talk until it was broken by Rathod.

"How are you Rawte? Does the wound pain now?" Rathod questioned him with concern.

"Yeah, I'm good... and wounds are not paining now," Arjun said monotonously trying to look Riya's face who is facing the ground from the time he came down.

If people are meeting Arjun for the first time they would feel offended because of his blunt way of answers, but the people in the hall knew him and his sudden mood lost so they kept silent.

"Any clue in Arjun's case? Have you guys found the culprits?" Mr.Rawte asked Rathod hopefully and he does feel this is necessary to read his son's mind.

Rathod was hesitant to answer back to him, cause he is not sure after hearing his answers what will be Arjun's reaction to it. He cleared his throat before answering him.

"We feel it's all planned by Atlaf and his underworld boss" Rathod replied indirectly not taking Sikander name in front of Arjun's family.

An audible gasp was heard in the hall, but Arjun is calm like a cucumber. It's like the news doesn't affect him at all or he does know who is behind on his attack.

When Rathod is not getting an expected look from Arjun, he feels bad, but anyway explained everything from the start how four people surrender themselves as an Arjun's attacker and how they had accepted that it's all fake setup to divert ETF.

"We tried to track that number but no use as of now because they are cleverly blocked all the ways to reach them," Rathod said frustratingly.

"Atlaf contacted through Rahim's henchman so we will track down all the people who had worked for Rahim and his mob. Because Atlaf will call to confirm that these four people surrendered for my attack and to confirm this information Atlaf definitely would try to reach anyone in the Rahim's gang and this will be useful to track down their location" Arjun suggested them.

"Yes, you are right, but we are not sure how many people had worked for Rahim? Whom they will contact out of all the people.! And we don't have enough time to interrogate each and every person by then they could have reached out them" Rathod said frustratingly.

"I knew who were all worked for Rahim, so I can help you to find them and if we interrogate other people of Rahim's henchman at least we can get a lead to Atlaf" Ayesha interrupted them.

"Yes, she is right! We will interrogate others and soon we will find the leads!" Rathod assured Arjun's parents who is looking at them blankly.

"Don't worry, we will catch the culprits at any cost." Rathod tried to console visibly tensed Arjun's mother.

She just nodded her head, listening to Rathod. Amidst all the conversations are going with his parents, Arjun is not yet moved his gaze from Riya. Whenever his brown eyes met her black eyes, she averted her gaze and acted like she didn't notice him looking at her.

"I will join office soon and we will find the lead together," Arjun said, looking straight into Rathod's eyes, his statement made Riya's head to snap out of the dream. She looked at him accusingly, but as usual when Arjun got her undivided attention started to ignore.

This man is so confusing, doesn't he longing to look at him just once after their fight? Why he is ignoring her when she finally looks at him. He has a layer of personality. It will take a big amount of patience to understand him.

"Without proper healing, you are not stepping out of this mansion and it's final!" Mr.Rawte ordered his son.

Arjun tried to object his father by nodding his head like 'No'

"You cannot join the office without medical certificates if you want to join office earlier then forget about joining in fieldwork, Rawte" Rathod hit his weak nerve and he does know Arjun would agree with him without no option.

"Okay" Arjun replied with gritted teeth looking at Rathod's challenging eyes.

Rathod smirked at him proudly, others sniffed their laugh looking at Arjun's frown face. Mrs.Rawte looking at her son's face with a mixed expression, the way he tries to look at the girl who is sitting opposite him at the corner his eyes and when the girl is not looking at him or when she is not giving the privilege of watching him. He is tapping on his foot continued to ease the frustration making her look at him suspiciously.

"I'm overthinking after Arjjuu's accident otherwise my son craving for one look from some stranger girl precisely his sub-ordinate naah it won't happen in next 7 births." Aadhirai murmured to herself brushing off her thoughts aside.

"We will take a leave it's already 30 past to 9 and if we find any clue will let you know guys. Commissioner ordered me to assign 4 constables around the mansion to observe any abnormal activity and to protect you guys as well" Rathod informed while getting up from his place to leave the place.

He paused for a few secs before continuing to look at Arjun's father, " and we knew you guys can afford private guards even an army of people, but it's an order from the commissioner so we have to follow without any loop. I hope you guys can understand".

Rathod looked at Mr.Rawte with bated breath for his denial, but nothing that sort of came instead of his reply surprised him.

"Oh, ok. We have no issues by then, but our personal guard will be there with us 24/7" Mr.Rawte concluded.

"Yes, I will make sure that they won't intervene with your personal guards," Rathod assured him .

Mr.Rawte nodded his head, agreeing with Rathod. With this ETF started to go out from Rawte's mansion not before asking Arjun to take care of him. Arjun and Mr& Mrs.Rawte stood from their place to send them off. Except for Riya, everyone reached the gates, but Riya is giving competition to snail leaving the place at a slow pace with a double mind.She is not sure whatever she is doing with Arjun is right or wrong and she is not sure that keeping a distance from him would make her happy or Arjun happy. She just told him in the moment of anger, but keeping promise takes a lot of energy and in her case going to take her breath slowly like a slow poison. On the other side, Arjun looks at her moving figure without blinking his eyes, he does badly want to stop her and cage her in his arms and never let her go away from him but he is afraid of making obvious of his feelings in front of her and afraid of making her his weakness just like Roshini.

Once Riya felt Arjun is never going to call her back or to accept her feelings tears flooded in her eyes without thinking she fastens her steps to move out of the mansion.

"Arjun" Mr.Rawte placed his hand on Arjun's shoulder to bring him out of the reverie.

"Haan, Dad" Arjun called out his dad hesitatingly.

"She left already!"

Arjun looked at confused for few secs processing his father's words carefully.

"I meant, they left and you should take a rest!" Mr.Rawte cleverly changed his words after making his son confused.

"Yeah, okay. Dad" Arjun agrees with his father without argument.

They looked surprised at him because he never agreed with them easily at least taking care of health no way something must have happened that's why he is behind super weird they concluded. Arjun started to move to his room suddenly he remembers something so he shouted standing on the middle of the staircase.

"I will move back to Ravi's lodge within 2 days, Dad and Mom. I can't risk your life unnecessarily " Arjun threw bombs at them.

All the colors of Mr & Mrs Rawte face were drained after listening to their son.

"N...o, No, Arjun. We are safe with you!" Arjun's mother pleaded in a chocked voice with tears in her eyes.

"That's my final decision and you guys can't force me!" Arjun replied harshly.

"You can't run away from your responsibilities, Man and your idea of staying away from us won't protect us, instead it will land us in some grave trouble. Why don't you understand Arjun?" Mr.Rawte screamed loudly at his son who is now standing on the first floor and looking intently at them.

"And I will make sure this time you don't separate yourself from us, Mr.Arjun Rawte," Mr.Rawte shouted raging looking at his son's calm face.

"Yes, we will see who wins this time as well, dad" Arjun challenged his father before leaving for his room.

"Ahhh, this stubborn head man. I have to put some sense into his thick skull before he lost his sane mind in his revenge!" Mr.Rawte exclaimed, and threw the vase which was placed on the table angrily.

The vase broke into a zillion pieces in the ground inviting an audible gasp from his wife.

"Surya, please!" Mrs.Rawte pleaded him sparingly, thinking about her husband's and his son's anger.

When it comes to anger both father and son are always would cross the limits and hurt each other with words without knowledge, but they never know during their argument and fights it was she who is suffering unnecessarily. It was always their way of making others dance to their tune.

"You can talk to him after some time and you knew his anger which always sits on his nose", She tried to explain to her husband who is burning with extreme anger.

Mr.Rawte turned his head to his wife who is looking pale and trying to control her tears but failing miserably.

" You always care for him and your husband, why don't you care for yourself, Aadhirai?" Mr.Rawte questioned looking at his face horror-stricken face.

"Because I want you guys to be together and I certainly can't see them fighting always that too for silly matters. Whenever you both put distance yourselves, it hurts me awfully and I can't see my favorite two persons and my reason for existence conflict almost every time. Why don't you understand shouting and screaming doesn't solve the problems instead it will add fuel to the blaze." Mrs.Rawte replied softly while tears rolling down on her cheeks freely.

When Mr Rawte tried to wipe her tears she showed him her hand like stop.

"I don't understand how to bring back you guys on track, this is a kinda difficult task for me. Because you guys are there for each other in the bad and good phase at the same time when it comes to protecting family behaving super weird. I'm scared of your anger and the consequences it's bringing almost after every quarrel. You both are equal to me and all I wish is your happiness nothing else. I may sound like a typical Indian wife and mother .But this is the honest truth. Stop fighting instead talk openly and throw away your insecurities throw through the window." Mrs.Rawte shouted in anger while wiping away her tears.

"I'm torn between my husband and my son. I have no idea whom to support in this battle." She muttered under breath.

Mr.Rawte looked at his wife's face with glistening eyes, he understood now as a wife and as a mother how much she had faced just to keep them bind in every phase and he felt very bad for his harsh behavior and the way he frightened her by breaking the vase just added to the fuel.

He just side hugged his wife and cleaned her face with his rough hands and said softly, "I'm sorry Jaan. Now I understood how much our indifference behavior hurts you, and I will try to control my anger. I promise you that Arjun will not separate us from him"

"If you do this I will be the happiest woman alive on this earth, Surya" Mrs.Rawte replied happily.

He laughed stylishly and teased her, "Every time I want to be a gentleman, but your son spoiling my mood by triggering my anger to the core"

"Yeah, what to do ? because the anger, attitude and adamant nature are inherited from his father. So he will behave in that way simple and no shock he would rule everyone as he owns them just like his father" Mrs.Rawte teased her husband immediately.

He again laughed out listening to her complaints.

"We will meet him after some time until that let your favorite son calm down a bit," he said seriously because if they go and meet him now the problem would be complicated further.

"Sure, " Mrs.Rawte mumbled under her breath.

~Arjun's Room~

After his shouting at his parents, he is walking here and there in his bedroom to reduce the throbbing pain which is triggered in his head. ETF also found out that the attack was planned by Sikander if they tried to reach out to Atlaf or Sikander before him the consequences won't be good. Either way, it's going to affect his family in priority next Veer's sir family but the only good thing is Sikander is not aware of Veer's sir daughters otherwise they would face the harsh reality of that demon's face long back just like him.

He has the responsibility of protecting his parents, Veer's sir daughters as well ETF. After hearing Rathod's determination about finding Atlaf he was sure that their lives will be interlinked with him. He and his team couldn't find the clue and ETF also having trouble in finding the lead. Fear started to engulf him what if he fails in this mission just like last time, what if he fails to protect his loved ones just like Roshni and his child, so many what if's increasing the headache.

"Ahhh, No...No...I will protect them and I will never fail in this mission" Saying this he took hold of the goblet lamp which is resting on his bed table and throw it on the floor, in force, it hit the floor and broke into tiny fragments.

He started to wipe his sweat in the AC room in the back of the hand. Suddenly his mobile ringed to catch his whole attention. After looking at the caller he mentally prepared for the outcomes.

"Hello, Raj" Arjun greeted him carefully.

"Don't... Don't address me with the first name, Officer AR!", Raj exclaimed angrily.

" I was hospitalized for one week, how come you expect me to inform you about my attack?" Arjun tried to reasoned himself.

"But you could have informed me after discharging right, but you didn't feel its necessary to inform me and I came to know everything through the news channel, "Raj shouted out of his calm nature.

"I thought not to stress you, already you are safeguarding Salim and I knew how difficult to keep him intoxicated till our work is done!" Arjun mumbled.

"But you already took care of everything, as you suggested we inserted a chip in his body to track him down without his knowledge. Only one thing is pending you have to make him escape from our clutches and introduce yourself as his well wisher before joining his gang that's all the work will be done" Raj pointed out.

"I can't meet him now, I have to recover before executing our plan. Till then keep him under your supervision." Arjun ordered.

" Do you really think Salim would help you to join in his gang? What if they found out your identity.? Do you think that chip we inserted in his body won't help us? , How can you so sure that Atlaf can't recognize you? Raj let out his clouds of doubts.

" Yes, it will help us only the certain level, the chip only leads to Sikander's or Atlaf's hideouts and you know how clever they are, so I have to join their gang but with different face and identity.!" Arjun clarified his doubts.

"Don't you think it's too risky! Don't you know how he includes people in his gang and that killing software! Why do you want to take a risk, Arjun" Raj whispered in pain.

"I... Don't have any option other than this, Raj! Whatever I do or going to do in the future, he is going to find out in any way and I cannot live in pain thinking that one day he is going to snatch my family, friends and whoever related to me! , I... can't... I can't let him win over me this time!" Arjun whispered back.

Raj sighed in pain loudly and continued," I wish I can help you in any way!"

"You are already helping Raj, whatever you are doing is way too much and top of that you are handling our team without me! I couldn't ask you more than this, man " Arjun chuckled softly.

"What happened to your attackers? any clue?" Raj diverted the topic.

"Nope, some fake people surrendered themselves as my attackers, but actually they are not! ETF found that they are fake and hired by Atlaf. EFT is now sure that Sikander exists, especially ETF chief Sameer Rathod!" Arjun said in a fake amazed tone.

" Don't tell me they are behind Atlaf?" Raj asked in tensed tone.

"Unfortunately, they are and I cannot stop them!" Arjun replied frustratingly.

"ACP Rathod is your best friend and you can talk to him once, Arjun" Raj carefully said each words thinking about his outburst.

Arjun laughed fakely and said," It took years for my friend to accept the truth that Sikander exists and I still didn't know how many years it will take him to realize that I'm not responsible for Roshini's murder. And If I try to stop him, he may think from a different perspective that I'm controlling him to reach Atlaf or whoever behind on this!"

"You missed him, right? And you desperately wanted your best friend to believe in you when you are helpless?" Raj questioned him.

Arjun's face lost all the colors and with a hard face, he uttered, "It's all in the past that I yearned to win his trust back but now I don't care about anybody trusts except..."

"Except?"

"R... Riya" Arjun heart whispered.

"Except myself" Arjun concluded

"Why do you want her to trust you, Arjun? Why?" His heart and mind started the war yet again.

"Stop!" Arjun shouted to come out of his mind battle.

"I didn't say anything AR?" Raj baffled.

"N...Nothing!" Arjun stammered a bit.

"Are you okay AR? You are behaving weirdly!" Raj questioned out of concern.

"Nothing, Raj. Please take care of Salim until we execute the plan and monitor his every move and When I instruct you set him free and I will take care of him after that!"

"Yes, I will be waiting for your instruction. Please take care of you and any help just one ring I will be in Mumbai to help you out!" Raj sincerely said

"I will do, Raj. Bye," Arjun whispered.

"Take care, see you soon in actions, AR" Raj whispered back.

Both of them winded of the call with a good note. Arjun placed the mobile on the bed table and looked at the mess he created. He sighed out loudly without cleaning the mess in the room and lay down on the bed with closed eyes. His personal peaceful space was interrupted by the door opening of his room.

"God, What the hell happened to your room. Arjun?" Mrs.Rawte shouted in shock looking at the glass pieces which are scattered around the room.

Arjun gets up from the bed and sat on the bed resting his head on the bed rest comfortably "I broke in anger!" He said in a matter of fact calmly.

"I told you, Both Father and Son are the same in everything just while ago your father broke the vase in the lobby in anger and you did the same here in your room. Why can't you guys control your anger? Men and their anger!" Mrs.Rawte screamed at both of them.

"Sorry!" Both Father and Son said in union with guilt but with a hint of mischievous in their voice.

Mrs.Rawte narrowed her eyes at them warningly, but both Father and Son laughed stylishly looking at her fake anger face.

"It's a waste of my breath to talk you guys!" Mrs.Rawte shouted back in real anger now.

Silence prevailed the room and Arjun's parents come forward and sat next to Arjun who is fiddling with the fingers. He never feels nervous in front of anyone, not even when he faced his death, except his parents precisely his father Mr.Suryakant Rate.

"Do you really think pushing everyone from you will protect them, Arjun?" Mr.Rawte queried him directly.

"I didn't know that and all. I feel at least this way I can protect you! And even if he tracks down me you guys won't get affected. Once he catches hold me or I catch hold of him the first thing he would do is attacking my weak nerves and that will be you guys" Arjun half whispered and half yelled at him.

Mr.Rawte sighed loudly looking at his son helpless face.

"You will get strong only when you are with the people whom you love and pushing people away from yourself doesn't help in any way. Never in the history pushing away from people made human happy, So I do wish you realize this soon, Arjun" Mr.Rawte tried to put sense into his son.

"What if I fail, Dad?" Arjun looked straight into his father's deep black eyes.

"When are you starting to fear about failures my son? Warriors always think about success and even if they fail they don't fear to bounce back again with the same force." Mr.Rawte encouraged him.

He paused for a moment to see his facial expressions when he feels Arjun is listening to him without any protest he continued," I'm sure this time our warrior will win the battle at the end no matter what happens and how many struggles he is going to face during his journey but he will win anyway!"

" I will win over him Dad!" Arjun whispered determinedly.

"You are not leaving to that lodge at all and We are not leaving for New York, Its final, Arjjuu!" Mrs.Rawte ordered him while touching her nose irritatingly thinking about that lodge.

"B...But!" Arjun tried to protest.

"It's decided we will be with you until you cured and even after we are leaving for New York, you are not staying in that lodge!" Mr.Rawte agreed with his wife.

"Then office!" Arjun exclaimed irritatingly.

"Are you kidding my man? We own the entire empire and I can take leave for years and no one can stop me, So please stop acting as if you care for our empire. Yeah, Don't be so happy that we will be leaving to the states soon, because we will try to change our head office back to Mumbai again!" Mr.Rawte declared his decisions.

"Fine!" Arjun muttered glaring hardly at his father.

This man has all the ways and solutions to the problems surprisingly Arjun couldn't deny since his father is right in every way. Mr. Rawte feels his son is listening to him without any arguments, and he won't get the moment again where Arjun is listening to him peacefully unlike other days, so he thought to tell him something important in a puzzled away.

"Sometimes, It doesn't matter how long we know the person, but it depends on how far we infer the person. Sometimes the love we have for another person for a long time doesn't make any sense, though we had loved them truly at a certain point in our life. But, the love and the emotions we feel for the new person in the short span of time makes a hell lot of sense" Mr.Rawte whispered carefully.

Arjun looked at his father shockingly because he does understand where this topic is heading to, so he tried to stop his father. But Mr.Rawte showed him back of the hand like stop and listen.

"I'm not saying that we didn't love that person whom we had loved, but I'm just saying change is the constant thing in the world that doesn't change at all. In the end, everything is fading, but only the memories linger in our soul, Arjun. So time is useless and baseless, if time couldn't heal the wounds of the past, does time can decide how far and depth our feelings are? It cannot right!" Mr.Rawte explained to his son before he loses everything in his life due to his insecurities.

"Time never healed any wound in the past or it is going to heal any wound in the future, Dad! . We just have to act like it doesn't happen in our life that's it, Problem solved" Arjun sarcastically replied his father.

Mr.Rawte smiled softly at him behind his hidden meaning and answered back, "We human always mourn for something after losing it completely or when we feel that the person never comes again in our life. This is our mistake. Don't be a just a normal human that flickers around but be a soul who craves for every happiness in the world and attained it too.Accept the feelings which will be showered upon you without any expectation. And about healing the wound, the light enters into where the wound is unhealed. Until you open up the light cannot enter into you Arjun. I really wish it you realize before everything goes out of your hand."

"You started to talk like Mother in weird languages, Dad" Arjun humored.

"You don't tell me whatever I said in an alien language and you couldn't decode it. I'm very sure you understood whatever I told and whomever I'm referring here. Don't be oblivious of your surroundings." Mr.Rawte retorted back with a hint of anger.

"You are right at the end everything and the emotions is evaporating in the thin air, but the memories linger in our soul till our last breath. It always makes us remind that how emptiness and aloofness enter into our lives in the process of healing the wound." Arjun quoted.

"We can't live in memory all the time, Arjun. Moving on is the next step towards the sunshine when the twilight is encircled in your life." Mr.Rawte argued back.

Mrs.Rawte is the mute spectator of their talk and she could fathom whom they are referring. She has a lenient idea about the girl, her husband is talking to. The elegant lady who sat next to Ayesha and Liza and who sat opposite to Arjun and with anxious face looking at her son's face whenever he is not looking at her direction and she understood now the person whom her husband was referring 'Someone will help us' just while heretofore.

"Life is too small to regret it, Arjun. If we started to think about what if's and what's not, life will be like a personal prison. Try to come out of your shell and accept the change in you and yeah accept the person, whoever brings upheaval in your life.Trust me after that life will be too beautiful to live" Mrs.Rawte smiled softly while uttering each word carefully and caressed his black hair fondly.

Mr.Rawte smirked at his wife proudly without saying anything to her she understood everything.

"Clever" Mr.Rawte mouthed looking at her.

"Always" Mrs.Rawte whispers back proudly.

Arjun looked at his parents with a worried expression because they are hell bent, making his life back to normal as the way it used to be when Roshini was alive.

After 2 weeks.

During this time Arjun healed completely and ETF came to visit them often twice in a week or thrice but never Riya tried to talk to Arjun. She avoided him altogether, even when she gets a chance to be with him alone, she exits the place without talking or looking at him. Thus makes Arjun pull his own hair out of frustration. He was the one who had asked her to stay away from him when she is giving him that space he should be happy but to the opposite, he feels some nagging in the heart.

On the other side, the ETF is trying to investigate as many people who were related to Rahim. Still, they couldn't reach out to Atlaf but they didn't lose their spirit to reach the real culprits amidst all the cases they are handling and top of that Arjun's absence creating a major impact in their hectic schedule.

~At ETF premises~

Everyone present at the conference room except Arjun. They don't have any idea when Arjun is going to join ETF. But suddenly they heard the footsteps are entering the conference room. They are surprised looking at Arjun who is looking at them with a proud smile. He looks fit and healthy making them sigh in relief.

"Welcome back to ETF, Rawte. You didn't tell us are joining today!" Rathod asked surprisingly.

"I want to surprise you guys because I feel ETF is missing me badly!" Arjun said in his usual tone teasing them.

"Rawte and his tantrums never change!" Rathod muttered under his breath.

Soon Arjun settled himself with others. His eyes keep on lingering Riya's calm and serene face, which is scaring him to an extent. She is too quite opposite of her nature, making him throb a little. He just brushed off his thoughts, thinking it's all his imaginary since he is meeting her after a long period which is 3 days ago.

The headlines caught the attention of everyone in the room.

"Mumbai locales are dying after drinking water from 'Aqua clean water' of R.K water purification center. Does Mumbai police sleep after hearing such tragic news? Don't they feel bad for common people live?"

The reporter asking many questions while showing the affected people in the hospital.

"What is happening? Why this case is not yet addressed by anyone still now?" Arjun barked in anger.

"We have no idea about this and this case is not transferred to ETF as well!" Rathod reasoned back.

Suddenly Rathod mobile ringed indicating a call. Looking at the caller he knows what is going to transpire.

"Good Morning, Sir"

"Good Morning Rathod"

"I hope you guys got the news of Mumbai people after drinking that water?"

"Yes sir, How come this case is not addressed till now?"

"So many complications from the higher officials before taking up this case and finally we had decided that the ETF is going to handle the case. I have great hope on you guys and I want the culprits to be arrested asap before it will create a national-level problem, Rathod"

"We will take up the case! And find the culprits who are behind on this illegal act, Don't worry, Jai Hind Sir"

"Jaihind"

After closing the call Rathod started at everyone who is looking at him expectantly.

"We are going to handle this case. We are leaving to R.K water purification center" Rathod explained them.

"Riya and Ayesha, get the contact details of the owner of company and check if any open cases in their name. Liza, try to get the autopsy reports of all the dead patients and medical reports of all the people who are admitted in the hospital now. Sree, try to track the number of company employees after getting information from Ayesha and Riya. Chotu activate your informers around the factory and hospital to find any suspicious moves."Rathod gave work to each individual except Arjun.

" Yes sir," Everyone responded except Arjun.

"Care to explain what I have to do now?" Arjun taunted him.

"As usual twirl your pen and come back with your puzzled comments, Rawte" Rathod exclaimed in anger.

Arjun glared at him hard for his reckless reply, so he assigned himself to work, "I will go through the previous case files to find any match in this case and I strongly believe this case is related to the previous case which was closed around 10 years back".

"What? In which case you are talking about.? Stop talking in riddles! Come to the point" Rathod said irritating while rubbing his forehead in tension.

"Xora virus I" Arjun carefully said.

"But that case was closed years ago. How to identity, both cases are related to each other or not?"Rathod questioned him.

" we will match the reports of Xora I patients with current patients who are admitted in the hospital now. If the reports match at least 50% we can conclude that this is another deadly virus or maybe"Arjun stopped in between.

"Or maybe?" Sree questioned him in a breathless tone.

"Sequel of Xora I or Xora II. To kill people in Mumbai"

"Xora II?" They all exclaimed loudly except Arjun and Sameer.

"We have 2 hours to verify the background before leaving the factory so guys get ready," Rathod announced them.

Arjun and Sameer are feeling uncomfortable and the feeling is nagging them without any justification especially Arjun.

"Don't think bad, Arjun. Everything will be okay !" Arjun pep talked himself.

XORA II, I didn't watch that episode after that dreadful day so I forget some scenes so I will be writing that part in my own way. Hope you guys are okay with it.
