The reason why HW has more auditions is because it's mostly corporates that are running studios. They have no emotional investment. But even in HW, directors keep working with their favorites - like Scorcese does with Leo. You think he's auditioning for each role? Please!

Does Scorcese ban others work ? Do you see Hollywood stars belong to only his camp in magazines and TV?

Do you see Hollywood star kids bombarding Hw left right Center? Or do you see people come through talent ?

That's a separate issue. People were going on and on for pages about how they must audition people and hire outsiders. But why? You can't tell anyone how to use their money.

Sushant wasn't banned. Repeating the same thing a 100 times doesn't make it true. Sushant had appeared on Vogue cover with one of the biggest international models - Kendall Jenner. Maybe his PR needed to work harder but he was still getting good opportunities.

@Bold. What performance or body language are we talking about here? That's a flawed point in itself as many starkids don't even audition to begin with. Let us start there. They don't even give this so-called "entrance exam" you speak of. The system in Bollywood is highly flawed. The big meaty roles are already reserved for star-kids. The small indie films, side-characters or television roles are usually what they audition for in this industry. In other film industries, the structure is different because there are auditions held for roles. Big actors like Emma Watson, RDJ for Iron Man, Ryan Gosling, etc. still audition for roles. Nepotism is so BLANTANTLY and glaringly obvious in Bollywood that it is shameful to even speak of to other people on how people are given a job. Not just any job. A job that makes MILLIONS OF DOLLARS that some people cannot ever fathom. People in the West already stereotype us South Asians as "scammers". Looking at the state of Bollywood, it is just a downwards spiral. There NEEDS to be a systemic change in this industry. Legit auditions need to be held without surnames and unbiased casting directors need to be put in place. But who am I kidding?!

You right even if people don’t boycott. Bollywood is writing it’s own demise ! Stars should genuinely have more star quality than the people we have. Look at Hollywood still auditioning established actors to find the perfect actor for the part. Here we have taylor made scripts given to star kids without even bothering to check if anyone can do it better. Forget about who can do it best. Than they whine when we talk about nepotism affecting entertainment quality.

How will they come out of this ? They are too stubborn and fixed in their ways to learn anything ? Only time will tell whether they plan to keep shoving their ways down our throats ?

If Karan has a write to spend his production money on starkids he has no right to complain if tmrw people stop watching his films because they lack quality acting among other things.

Agreed. We only have a handful of actors now most of them star kids esp those leading the pack, some of them have genuine talent others have zero talent. Its their inbuilt mentality that only those who have been in the industry have the status necessary to be worthy of their movies. When has Karan ever promoted an actor barring Sid perhaps unless there is hype around them who is an outsider.

Chris Pratt was just a TV actor before Marvel signed him up to lead one of their biggest movies, Tom Holland who was he before spiderman? There is a lot lot more opportunities in HW and TV actors/HW actors in their industry are given equal weightage.

For gods sake, these celebs say doctors do this, lawyers do this sorry but these people have to go through rigorous YEARS of education and training before they get this opportunity you just simply cannot compare. Do they even know how ruthless the corporate world is? Founders lose control of their business and people do not give a damn if you are the son/father if money isn't being made, you have to prove your knowledge and skills and make money. There is legit no comparison between what is happening in BW and any other industry.

Its not about Sushant getting opportunities, its about what kind of opportunities he got considering his track record and they were not on par. I am not his fan in any sense but even then he deserved more than what he was settling for. No one is to blame for his death but the system definitely needs to change, monopolies should not exist in this world.
