As an audience we hv that power to challenge the system and stop watching movies of starkids in theatres but the question is will we really do that if the movie is good ? 🤔..

All these debates on nepotism r actually temporary just like metoo movement as people will forget soon ..So when actors r told to speak on this , they need to b diplomatic about it as its them who hv to survive in industry ..Humara kya hai , hum aaj kuch bolenge kal kuch aur bolenge ..isn't it 😃

You are right Jyoti! The same audience will visit theatres 🎭 if promo is exciting or star cast is! The movie they make is from their money so we really cannot ask them to challenge it and if the performance or script is a failure, the movie anyway flops! Today content sells and we have seen big budget Thugs of Hindusthan being a dud and at the same time Andhadun being a super hit! Pls fight and struggle to survive and achieve Success, but don’t give up life if you aren’t able to accept the reality, pls fight your battles, I would like to ask the same SM who is hailing fir Sushant today, where were they when he was alive? There are many more talented stars who didn’t get an opportunity in movies due to same nepotism, but they didn’t give up, Shahrukh or Akshay weren’t part of nepotism and they struggled for where they are today, Akshay has had a huge number of flops, he didn’t get any awards or he wasn’t offered any big banner movies too for long! I agree Sushant was cornered, but he couldn’t fight for it as he was having his own set of issues too, nepotism didn’t exist today, it’s been for long! Pls fight for your success and if you are worth it you will definitely get success, life is very precious, pls don’t give up on it

Nepotism cannot and will not change re. What can and should change are casting couch sort of situations if possible that may be holding people to ransom. Even there it’s a two way street. It’s an adult decision- nobody’s forcing anyone and they are taking a risk with their body and lives. Look at things from the other side. A bachelor/bachelorette of professional credibility cannot trust to sleep with a wannabe without fearing being taken advantage of.

Nepotism will not change wherever a person is putting in his or her own money. It’s my liberty to put in my money where I trust right? That’s why we are a democracy and this is capitalism too. We identify the right of people to earn based on their will and skill.

The closest example I was quoting to someone the other day was of a young upcoming talent (with gorgeous curly locks) in the Malayalam film industry who threw a fit mid shooting of a production and ran off to a salon and went bald pate. Sheer irresponsibility to the production, waste of money and what not. So, why would I invest in someone I don’t truly trust in- a friend who is averagely talented and will be responsible while shooting and not create any tantrums coz of our working relationship and who will still ensure success because my story and team is good than someone who is talented but who is not a close associate and will still only guarantee me more or less the same returns?

This sort of nepotism in industries is all about trust. Ofcourse if I am going to use my power and standing to deny space to someone deliberately elsewhere as well, that will be unethical. Otherwise, groupism, cliques... these things are endemic to human society. It’s there in homes, families, online forums, ashrams, temple and church committees... everywhere. Where society is, there’s ego, there’s politics, there’s bias, there’s nepotism and so on. That’s human society.

If we are smart and fight smart, we can and will find our openings. That’s upto our skill sets. You can’t force another to bend their best interests to suit us. That’s my two cents.

And one thing ..Nepotism die its own natural death if the audience rejects u ..

Few examples are ..Congress party in Politics and Abhishek bachchan in movies ..

So noone needs to b a flag bearer here revolting against nepotism ..in the end true talent speaks ..

Sushant was a true talent and thats why he got the success too ..If his definition of success was to get acknowledgement fm film fraternity in the name of those biased awards then sabse pehle toh Aamir Khan ko depression mein jana chahiye as despite coming fm film fraternity ,he always got snubbed in awards and the irony is SRK was always 1st choice fr awards when he was an outsider ..So its not always nepotism , its more about Camps and Lobby ..

Sushant case is much deeper than what meets the eye..

Can't wait for part 2

They are well rehearsed and thought out answers ... and not something that came up at the spur of the moment..

Reg nepotism Sushant put it in a perfect way👍🏼

Nepotism can coexist but it should not over power talent.

Amazing line👍🏼

Everyone is discussing about nepotism only but in sushant case its not about nepotism. Its about imposing power in wrong way. someone who is powerfull in industry n trying to imposes his or their power to stop an outsider career. Nepotism exist in every sector we have to go with it n more over we can't tell someone how n where n upon whom he will invest his money.it's his money he will do whatever he want to do....whenever he want to invest but but but just because he have money n power no one gave them right to impose their power to block someone else career it's not acceptable.just because that person is not in ur circle or not in ur favourite list u cannot snatch his hard earned projects which he or she earned though his or her talent.if someone is giving that outsider chance why that powerfull people is interfering in their business???? Just like you invest ur money with ur own preferences let them go with their preference why someone who is powefull putting their nose in it??

Yes its ultimately upto audience to bring any significant change.

I would say my POV for nepotism doesn’t match with his at all.

People like me are upset for nepotism and openly voicing out on social media. Why ? Anyone has all right to do whatever he or she wants to do with his money - no objections for that but when Bollywood Biggies claimed that only Star kids are more talented than outsider and deserve more than rest is problematic. Bullying and harassment associated with nepotism - is big NO NO for me. Doesn’t matter - whether I am standing alone on this.

Time to change- when we will change - Nepotism exist everywhere- learn to accept and survive . But nepotism is certain field like medicine, Arts and so on is big BIG NO.

Example - My mom and dad side - many uncle and Aunty are doctors - they built big hospitals , so they forced their kids to become a doctors as well. Many of my cousins struggled to pass the examinations and instead of 5-6 years of MBBS they took 8-9 years to complete . Indeed they are useless doctors and am not ashamed to say.
Same goes to my friends who are engineers, because their parents forced them to become one. They are struggling with life. Their interest was something else they could have done something , would be more successful and more happy.

One of my uncle is pilot - he forcing his son to become a pilot - he is struggling to pass it . Now he is thinking of using his powers? Just imagine if he become a pilot.

Nepotism shld be free in the field of art and medical fields. Selection shld be purely on the base of talents.

Now coming to support celebs kids movie- instead of saying - people will forget this eventually. I am positively sure at least - 1 or 2% would definitely remember this nepotism issue and will not watch any celebs kids movie. Will it make any difference , 200% not but at least there will be beginning.

Everything is an assumption when it comes to Sushant..none of us know real reason ..

Some assuming nepotism ..

Some assuming he was blocked by producers just because a random case is done on 7 producers ..

Some assuming mahesh bhatt hand in it bec he and rhea who was his current gf r in touch ..

And then there is this .

The person who has gone ..only he knows real reason ..

But on personal level, I doubt this reality will ever stop pinching me...I know i have to eventually accept Nepotism at certain point but for now I don't think I am okay seeing a person with lower caliber than me getting all opportunities which i aspire to have...

I saw one IV of Kriti sanon...where she said, its not like she can't play deep and artistic characters but she never got a chance with one...

While Alia get fabulous scripts, and so well written characters time and again and ofcourse working with all best directors definately polished her..No denying tha she had a certain caliber but opportunities she got are what made her..

If we compare Ali and Kriti's performances in their debut..Kriti was far more impactful than Alia was...

While on TV, I have seen so many actors who are so fabulous, like DT, jennifer, sidharth, karan patel, Hina, ronit, sakshi and many others who have made quite trashy script work which these star kids i doubt will ever able to do...

Yes I dont deny that outsiders have to work triple hard to get noticed . Kriti is a wonderful actress I agree. Her performance in barielly ki barfi was awesome . And yes may be she is still not getting good scripts ,but almost everyone sees her sincerity towards her craft. As I said ,changes like these take time . Its not overnight.

But it can pay off too. Any outsider if he succeeds, the audience respect that person more.

Today Akshay is more respected than other superstars who r star kids. Cos they see the struggle . Star kids will never get the respect that and outsider will get if that outsider eventually breaks through .

Many might think ranbir is a better actor than ranbir Singh. But ranveer is defo respected more with audience now. And that's cos he struggled to get there.
