If films are hit ,audience is watching it .. True ..
If films are not hit , audience is not watching it .. True ..
If the above two feats are achieved by unentical means , then the ones partaking in such unethical practices are answerable - not the audience .. They need to re-evaluate their work practice , so put them in spotlight .. Audience is not going to go out of their way to watch or not watch a movie out of some propaganda .. The hardcore fans might do it , just as how they do those twitter trends .. But the regular audience who is disconnected with fanatism and bollywood behind the scenes is not going to care for it and they shouldn't have to .. Its illogical to expect audience to forceably like or not like something based on what happens behind the scenes .. The industry needs to be revamped , the audience will follow ..
This is not like buying or not buying an animal fur coat to affect demand and supply - the comparison itself is wrong ..
Yass!
The narrative of deflecting the blame from BW bigwigs unethical tactics onto the audience was mind boggling to me!
So thanks for this post!
