Sushant is the last person you expect to do something like this because he is very successful outsider. I know insiders are taking away his opportunity but he should’ve believed in his talent, his last movie was a hit. Depression is the most difficult disease ever but you would think success would help. I wonder if he missed ankita. And this whole self isolation has drove everyone mad.

He was due to start a romcom with his girlfriend Rhea right after the lockdown. The director himself talked about it. Komal Nahta also said he had several offers but he had refused to meet those people because he didn't want to do those movies.

If you're such big Sushant fans, how do you not know news about him? Or it is just an excuse to harass other people like Karan and Alia?

For Sushant, things were working. He wasn't no.1 but that's life. If he was healthy, he would have learned to live with disappointments like we all do when things don't work perfectly for us. He had his own internal issues and was taking medication for them. Depression is a real illness. Stop blaming others for what happened to him and give attention to mental health. Instead people are busy bashing people like Deepika who is trying to push the dialogue in the right direction. But no, our satisfaction only comes from harassing people like Karan and Alia who didn't even have anything to do with Sushant.

@BOLD That is a very flawed comparison. You cannot compare a presidential election with being a successful actor as only ONE can win the former. Being successful as an actor is largely dependant on the types of opportunities you get and Bollywood is an industry where everyone can eat and taste success (not just one UNLIKE a presidential election) but they CHOOSE to play favorites. It wasn't like the audience rejected Sushant. Most of his films were successful. And Sushant never had the desire to be number 1. Neither did he lack talent or merit. It is the industry that failed him by not only constantly ridiculing him and excluding him but also by snubbing him of roles. This industry is heavily driven by nepotism and less by merit. Nepotism is existent in many fields of work (which doesn't necessarily make it right or justified), but it is definitely a more prevalent ocurance in the Bollywood industry. It occurs in the business industry and in politics as well which is why these fields are considered corrupt. A lawyers son still has to get a law degree. A doctor's child still has to obtain a medical degree. An engineer still has to do engineering. Whereas in Bollywood, not only are the meaty opportunities given to star-kids but it has gone as far as taking roles away from someone to give it to a star kid. I agree that depression is a mental illness which cannot be due to a single reason or person. The constant exclusion from peers for a prolonged period of time also doesn't help the cause. Not to mention the gossiping and excessive back-bitching about Sushant within the industry which is a known fact and many have verified and spoken up about it. If you are already mentally upset without a strong support system which Sushant seemed to lack, it can push you to the edge and act as a trigger. Can't measure everyones level of tolerance using the same yard stick.

Regardless, this is an important discussion to have in order for systemic change to occur.

Untalented star kids get awards after awards but a talented outsider is denied them. And you see nothing wrong with it. 👏

That's sadness, not clinical depression. Clinical depression is based on chemicals in your brain not secreting the right amounts. It requires medical intervention. The sadness part is taken care of through therapy.

Anyway, I'm doing with his thread. (not related to you) Blaming anyone else for whatever Sushant went through is ridiculous. Harassing and bullying other actors and directors the way Sushant's fans are doing is not helpful.

No, he's not owed awards. Salman was an insider and had much bigger hits. He used to act well back in the 90s too. Did he get awards? Does Akshay get awards? He's done a great job in comedy. So what?

Nobody is owed anything. If you wanted him to be treated like Alia, tough luck. It doesn't happen for most.

For them it's nothing only their fav star are good in everything and will even get paid awards for 1 dance..It's waste to even argue because for them Sushanth can go back to tv or do any job is he denied, snubbed or even or continue till 50+.. None doesn't want to see how the BW people outcasted him in every possible way they can..
