300K out of 50 million. What difference does it make? She will get that many back in a week.
Half are fake/paid followers anyway. People need to stop taking these numbers seriously.
300k is a serious number. I’m sure “fake” followers are not going to unfollow her lol that doesn’t make sense
However. Do this - stop watching Dharma movies ? Start there

But why paint the whole industry in one colour? How will boycotting the entire Bollywood help in any way? Not everyone is the same, nor does everyone comes from the same background. Homogenizing the industry is taking away the agency of those who are really guilty of nepotism, cronyism and elitism. I'm not denying the industry is structured around wrong values. But there are outsiders who are self-made, there are talented directors who are making path-breaking content, and there are producers who are willing to invest in outside talent.
Because they ALL play a part in this hierarchy. They all comtribute to the cycle. Either they part take in the elitism or nepotism, or they start to enable it by saying shit like "everyone has their struggles including star-kids". Can you tell me who exactly has tried to break this vicious cycle in mainstream Bollywood? Don't say Kangna because I Don't count her as the voice of reason by any measure. If you can give me a single A-list actor/actress who has not joined forces or started ass-kissing KJo and the likes (even just out of compulsion to get work), I'll follow that person back.

Exactly...
The real impact will be if she loses engagement. If her pics are say.. getting 2 million likes usually and there is a drop to 1 million, that will show she is losing popularity. If her twitter retweets drop into the hundreds, that will show people are not interested anymore.
The total followers doesn't matter at all because they will buy back double.
But she can just buy likes and comments.
I mean half the comments and likes on Ananya official page and under pinkvilla post are done by bots. The starkids are thriving because of paid engagement. Plus the bikau memers.
It would take millions of people to come together and boycott to have some real effect.
I don't know how Instagram works..Disha,Kriti have 5 million followers on twitter and have more followers than Khans,HR and others on insta. How??
These 2 have less than 3 million followers on Facebook..
Perhaps, because,it is more for influencers..and selling products is the main aim..or they would have 'bought' followers on Facebook too.Why pool all resources on Insta🤔

Agree but I think likes and comments especially are harder to buy. Fake comments can be spotted right away the way they show up in Ambani posts all the time.
Twitter retweets are also much harder to purchase because it's very noticeable when it's bot accounts doing it. That's why they don't use those tactics too much.
Ok. She will gain it back after few days when people pretend to care about some other issue
Damn that’s rough. This took a turn that nobody was expecting but I suppose reckoning was coming. What did they expect when half the industry is run by nitwits who couldn’t spell professionalism if it came wrapped in prada.
BW as an industry sucks. Maybe this is a catalyst for change it desperately needs.
Small victories I say!

I'm done supporting an industry that refuses to change and supports criminals but drags down young hardworking talent. We have to STOP accepting this as the "normal" because it is NOT.
Very well said! 👏
I’m not in SM at all except IF..
SSR’s death has hit me hard.. so I won’t be watching any BW movies henceforth..
