But Karan was pretending to be such a supportive fan of him when he came on his show. Of course he doesn’t audition outsiders! Why take the chance of increasing the pool of talent, looks and intellect? It might hurt his insider ego too much!

I believe this is from a chapter in his book that people have highlighted and is doing rounds on Twitter.

Karan has all the right to invest his money wherever he wants.. if he doesn't wanna work with outsiders, that's his choice.. it's his money

It's the allegations that he actively sabotages their career which should be the point of discussion not that he doesn't audition outsiders..

But isn’t it a bit two faced for him to be all over him after he is already successful? Not auditioning outsiders? He claims to have selected Alia out of an audition of hundred of girls? Who were they if he doesn’t audition outsiders ?

Of course Karan is two faced.. there is no denying.. but he is not liable to audition anyone.. that is up to him.. however, if he actively sabotages careers, that's something he should be held accountable for.. who he auditions or casts in his movies is his choice alone
