[/QUOTE yes it's true.
It is the first time I see a Pakistani bride wearing saree. Is it common?😕
I think there was something non-traditional/old-fashioned about the wedding in general. The groom was wearing a dhoti and I've never seen that in a Pakistani wedding.
I think wedding outfits have evolved over time for women and it depends where your parents/grandparents moved from during partition. My mum wore a saree for her valima because it was tradition in my dad's family.
In fact, I've only become more aware of lehengas more recently- most people who were getting married when I was growing up wore ghararas or shararas, lol

Thanks for the infos. I was trying to figure out what was Danial wearing! 😳 and you are right. The theme of their wedding was about old traditions. Maybe their families had some Indian roots!🤓

Oh this is very beautifull. Sadly we forgot about our traditions. I don't know what did my mother wear in her wedding..it happened more than 50 yrs ago and they didn't use to taking photos.😒

Oh , those beautifull dresses. All of them are like a dream. I wish I had one.

Pakistani and indian attires are really beautiful. Shalwar kameez, frock churi dar pajamas, gararas, shararas, lenghas, sarees all are beautiful to wear. I hope you will get them soon 😊

The reason I know about my mum's valima saree is because she talks humorously about the first and last time she wore a saree in her life, lmao. Mum herself doesn't come from a saree-wearing family. Dad was also the first to get married in his entire family, so obviously all the traditions were in full-force when they got married- it was a lot more relaxed for the later weddings, which my mum likes to point out.
My dad's headwear was also similar to the one that Danial wore, lol, so it's a bit of a blast from the past there.
It's very interesting how of all the recent celebrity weddings have had their own distinct styles. And that most of them aren't very over the top glitzy and glamorous. It's sweet.

This is very charming. Even my father wore a headwear like that of kings of Saudi Arabia.😆

Yes. It is very sweet, although I like watching all those pics which come with big fat weddings. 😆 Any way..this new trend is refreshing. Nimra Khan didn't even wear a proper wedding dress.😳

These are all Nikkah ceremonies though. So for some if not most of them there's probably going to be some sort of reception and a valima. So there may be more pictures to come- I suspect there will be for Nimra and Faryal/Danial.
