Even dystopian thrillers I can’t watch very often, but it’s the dark social dramas that get especially bleak, and majority of Pak shows seem to be like this only. Why are there no more ZGHs?

I guess caz it sells ZGH was an exception where they had a balance. This has some dark issues but relevant too the social issues nicely ingrained. Pakistani dramas were never about being light unless they are sunochanda which are rare occurrences I guess the other one that you can watch is alpha bravo charlie back from 1998 it's an army production and super fun I mean this was the show that the 6/7yrs old me had every line memorized of and had videotapes of😆 And I wouldn't eat until someone would play any episode of ABC😆 like legit it worked kinda like cartoons😆 my family was tired and sick of it at one point caz they were kind of bound to rewatch over and over. I still sometimes go back to it and all these years later enjoy it as much too. It's about 3 recruits from 3 very different backgrounds joining army due to various reasons not having much intrest in the force but how they learn to love it. Also a part if it was shot at real siachin posts and real Bosnia during the war in 90's with real bosnian actors and forces . P s though there is no war war as such

The Bosnian side was basically about Pakistani forces collab with UN to support the civilians and restore their lives and on siachin side too it was more about how the soldiers live there.the life in igloos.the patriotism that bonds them.(and I have to again mention here why it worked was the patriotism wasn't jingoism hence till date it remains relatable) It was about them realizing their privileges shedding them and truly being equal as the officers more about coming to age there individual stories amidst armed forces.

Just first 10 mins and one is already sucked in. I would love for you to see it as till date it remains so relatable and fun. Best thing about it and why it is still so relevant there was no hate or war mongering for anyone despite being an armed forces production with real officers😆

Everyone was from.the forces even the 3 main actors 2 of them were from.forces themselves hehe so the raw talent and everything never felt like drama . Try it omg how much I would love to revisit this with you

I have a feeling this will be appreciated by you. Other ones I don't myself see you watching which is why I don't really suggest either heheh. Matlab main khud nahi dekhti aajkal ke shows toh🤷‍♀️

Just read this idc about this show and do understand why they said children shouldn't be allowed but at the same time this is kind of going to be weird I wonder what will happen to YHC and the little saaransh then

Barrister Babu' Post Leap?

As per the new guidelines set by the government, no children will be allowed on the set for precautionary measures and hence the makers are forced to take an age leap. This will allow them to take the story forward and start shooting for it.

Oh they aren’t allowing kids on set anymore either? Interesting. Then toh yeah, shows which have little kids in the cast will have to majorly overhaul storylines.

I read people older than 60 may not be allowed either. That would impact a lot of older character actors who play grandparents etc in shows. Family dramas mein family characters reduce karne padenge.

Re: recommendation...thanks! Will try to check out this one :)

Yup very Intresting development. I am actually happy in a way too with this change caz bache bohat zyada hi oversmart ho rahe that aajkal ke esp yeh tv shows wale zameen se ugte nahin gain and start thinking they are something so in case of these bachiyan ko bahu bana do bakwaas I am happy ke for a while there will be break but then at the same time where stories revolve around kids like saaransh will be intresting to see what happens. I guess they can say bache boarding chale gaye and then show video calls or something until it resolves.

Same with bhuddhe log daadi naani kinds ke kahin yatra pe chale gaye and farzi videocalls ya actual videocalls bhi ho sakti hain bit with respect to the times and scenario I think it's a wise decision.

Re ABC: haha I hope you enjoy it after recommending I fell down the hellhole and binged the first few epis again. This is just not a show it's an emotion for me and many from my generation as it was so different in the times where everything was around vadhere/zameendars and their zulm . This was a relief and probably the only show from.my early memories of tv that I remember in so much detail.😆.

It still fascinates me when I think about them shooting at the highest peak in siachin I mean carrying all that equipment the crew etc in those times on shoulders what a freaking achievement just achieving that with limited resources both technological and human.👏 And then the whole operation recreation( this happened with another real officer won't ruin it for ya but yes that operation was a recreation) back then after the show was ober they did a special show to introduce people to officers their stories than the bts etc in which they've shown how hard it was to do that but still it was so amaizng and impactful that o still remember it hehe

Also I did some research today and found this new bit of info which was really intresting for me from the director/writer the great shoaib mansoor who is a pioneer for many things in pakistani popculture right from dil dil pakistan😆 that he shot and wrote only bosnia part and he jumped into shooting it caz the pakistani forces had very limited time left in bosnia so he had to hurry up lol before he thought of any other character aur wrote any other thing that after doing that he wrote rest of the story and interlinked it and I am in aweee about how well done it was caz it's impossible to guess otherwise.

P.s there a prequel of everyone except one character in their academy called sunehray din which even I haven't seen simply caz I was a toddler when it came 😆 And in those days it wasn't possible to get anything later on net but I just saw it on YT after all these years so mam intrested now but dw it's still a stand alone serial just the then cadets have joined the units now😆

That's the only link between the 2 shows

And now am gonna stop ranting but as I said it's an emotion very very close to my heart after all these years too 😆😃

So the date is 20th June to resume shoot then? Is this actually confirmed or more speculation?

This also says writers are adjusting scripts to cut down crew to 33%.....that doesn't sound right. Previously they will cut it down to 50%. Budget cuts toh are expected. And this also says that filmcity is opening this weekend to begin repairing and sanitizing the sets.

---------------------------------------------------

The reports also suggest that the producers will now have to undergo a 30% budget cut approximately. The writers have also started working on the script in a way to meet the 33% crew guidelines. The producers have also been advised to not allow any kid below the age of 10 and elderly artists on the sets.

As per the reports, by this weekend, the gates of Filmcity in Mumbai will reopen and the sets which need a repair will be looked after and all the sets will be sanitised throughougly. The producers and the artists are looking for the best way to resume shootings while meeting all the guidelines.

I m reading 20th june in various reports so that might be real. 33% might be a typo or maybe they went further down I m not sure. 😂at adjusting stories now this is the part am curious about 😆 What mahaan changes they make caz am sure it'll be silly as hell given thier otherwise dumbo writing skills

Is this a real thing in India right now? People protesting black lives matter? lol the irony is just too much given the rampant racism that exists in desi society.....how many dark skinned actors are currently leads in any ITV show or film? How much revenue does Fair and Lovely make every year? lol start a conversation there first before doing random lame hashtag protesting.

Uhhh yeah 😆 only on social media level as in ek ek story daal do to feel relevant bas itna hi real hai isse aage kuch nahi. How many of them come up to stand with the muslim community just days ago when they were held responsible for the spread of covid? .Now I know that is not colorism but it's still discrimination based on beliefs How many of them discriminate against south Indians caz of their color hahah oh man it's rich when they say they care but still call dhanush for example a rakhsewala caz of his looks when he makes his bollywood debut 😆 or bipasha badu a kali bili caz she's dark skinned .. I didn't wanted to say anything on this matter caz I didn't wanted to rub people the wrong way but I am laughing with irony. I wholeheartedly support the BLM there's absolutely no doubt about it but seeing these desi celebs going utawla is so funny and ironic. Not only colorism is prevalent and these people have all supported it in one way or other they go all silent and chup when it happens inside India but anything that happens in states is their priority it's almost as if they will be given capital punishment of they won't speak for USA. India ko chodo goli maro wahan karte raho yeh colorism who cares caz Fair is Lovely😆 not only that they have so many more issues like religion/caste /class based hatred. Pehle apne masle hal karo but nahi kyonki woh USA main nahi hai so it doesn't matter.

Also when I say desi celebs It means all indian/pakistani/ film/tv wale. It's just too eyeroll worthy for me caz apne desh main jo ho hota rahe lekin doosre ke phade main number banane ke liye zaroor ghusna hai. It's the same with any incident that happens in European nation or USA sab uske liye bade dukhte hain like the stupid notredam burning for example but apna jitna marzi heritage/lifeless ho jaaye it goes past their sight
