Award Shows - Bankrupt?

I’m really hoping this happens. I’d love nothing more than the coronavirus to cause these shows to run out of money and shutdown. What a blessing in disguise that will be for Bollywood

I don't watch awards but some do.

Awards shows are also a means for earning for some. Backstage crew, dancers etc etc. Kyu dosro ki rozi roti ke liye aise badua karna.

If you don't like them like me just don't watch. 🤗

Award functions in Bollywood will never be merit-based. Even the Academy Award isn't, but know where to stop.

Bollywood has always been about glitz and glamor. Talent, not so much.

They are becoming less and less credible each passing year. Actually, today they are not at all credible but you still have certain actors sleeping with their awards (Ananya Panday/Alia Bhatt) as if they just won the gold medal. They just end up embarrassing themselves. filmfare lost its steam long ago. Awards are just a sign of ego inflation for actors, nothing more.

Bollywood awards are a joke... all of them... Why don’t they just feed the hungry for a change and telecast that on TV as well if ego boost and TV ratings are all that matters!

It's sad iifa went from New York and Spain to Bhopal. Before Bhopal people attack Me I obviously mean they dont have money to afford foreign countries anymore.

They were going to get 700 crores as funds from MP govt for organizing the event in Bhopal. I wonder how much were they sponsored during those abroad shows.

That’s such a waste of taxpayer’s money! So many out-of-work mouths can be fed, farmers and small businesses be bailed out, and healthcare infrastructure strengthened with that money.
