I know Bidaai was inspired by Vivaah. Fair and beautiful orphaned niece and dark skinned "less beautiful" daughter with the hateful mother and alok naath.

Never watched more than few episodes of Naagin 3. But it seemed like it was inspired by jaani dushmaan, the best indian movie ever created. A true masterpiece.

Jamai Raja had lots of similarities with the movie Jamai Raja. Both mother in laws are strict and dominating. The son in laws move in to the house to win over/torment them.

Please, please, PLEASE do NOT insult the Naagin series like that. No matter what its shortcomings are, it's still a pretty good fantasy show by Indian standards. Not to mention the first season was extremely good.

Jani Dushman wasn't a movie. It was....I don't know what it was.

😆 It wasn't a movie. It was art! A masterpiece that can never be replicated again

Maharaj Ki Jai Ho, which is currently airing on Star Plus, is inspired by Fun2shh.

Most of Agent Raghav's episodes were inspired from different movies. I think the 2nd or 3rd episode was a direct copy of Yakeen.

Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil was inspired from Pardes.

I had heard about some show, Love U Zindagi, that was going to be similar to Jab We Met.

Kya Hua Tera Vaada originally started off as a remake of Biwi No 1.

I think they also made a serial based on Bajirao Mastani soon after it was released... and there was one Palkon ki Chhaun or something like that many years ago with a similar storyline to Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon as well 😂

Badho Bahu story was like a cross between Dum Lagake Haisha and Dangal 😂😂

There was also one serial based on Mughal e Azam recently with the worst casting 😭
