If We Met in Real Life

So imagine if we were to run into you in public what would the situation be? What are you usually doing and what is your personality in real life? Are you different from how you are on IF?

You would find me studying in the library or a cafe. We would make eye contact and I would look away or give an awkward smile then go back to doing my work 😆 I usually always look really serious or in a bad mood. At first, I don't look like an approachable person at all. I'm very different in my real life compared to how I am here. I tend to be a loner and can be sassy sometimes coming off as rude even though it's not my intention. But, I promise I'm not that mean once you get to know me lol I am good at listening to people and can be understanding. I am a dependable friend that you can trust with your secrets and emotions.

I must admit it was such a pleasant surprise😊...we have plenty in common... I miss those days reading books in B&N and sipping my Starbucks coffee...I'm not that scary looking but not easily approachable either....once I get to know someone they become part of me... you can link me to loner category as well...I can compartmentalize myself even in a big crowd ignoring the rest...what is good enough to give people the impression I might be rude what I'm certainly not....I can always link better with young kids and seniors...

I would be working on my work-related projects at a cafe. I'm not an introvert but also not extremely extroverted; in other words, I wouldn't be the one to initiate a conversation unless I know the person face-to-face & vice versa. If I were to meet an I-F member & we are able to recognize through past interactions, then I don't mind talking to them. I actually know one member since she is my high school friend but she's not active on I-F anymore (she's still friends with me on other social media apps so for privacy concerns won't disclose her name).

We do have a lot of similarities! LOL I'm not scary looking 😆 If I'm alone, I don't smile because I'll look like a crazy person. My sister would come study with my sometimes and when she saw me from afar she'd be like they won't tax you extra for smiling and looking friendly 🤣

I love talking to senior citizens! They are literally the sweetest and boost your confidence. They always have the best stories and advice. I'm not too good with kids because sometimes I'll talk to them as if they are my age and they just give me a confused look...it's just an awkward situation lol

Ok if I saw a person I knew, I'd smile and wave but I don't smile at strangers (unless I'm at work). I feel like most of us on this forum are introverts or ambiverts. I have extroverted friends and I just marvel when they initiate conversations with strangers and become friends by the end of the convo and exchange numbers 😆 and they keep in touch!!!
