Irrfan Khan passes away at 54 - Page 18

While watching Chanakya I realised. Irfan too is a gift of TV (even before Sharukh).

News did not shock me (I had read the news of ICU admission recently).

Strangely did not feel sad too. I remembered his voice before his trailer in Angrezi Medium. Probably that’s going to be my last memory of Irfan. Something like the last scene of Anand. I don’t think I will miss him. He will stay as an ever cheerful spirit. I will not say RIP. He will continue to live.

I have not been anyone’s fan. But somehow I have never been connected to anyone like this. May be his spirited struggle made all of us connect to him as humans.

My fav actor in Bollywood .

He was effortlessly brilliant.

From TV to Hollywood, been part of his journey watching him reach there top.

May his soul RIP, will miss him on screen.

I think burial was stopped only for corona patient.....not for others.....also one of my neighbor's acquaintance in Pune, died of covid infection and she was buried.....so even my first point stands null...

Rest in peace, Irrfan. You did so well.

This is what I mean.. Someone passing away right now is a much lonelier experience than usual. He deserved many many many more people to come see him on his last journey. All his friends and well wishers. He deserved the world.

Irrfan's demise wasn't due to COVID19 so why would he be cremated?! People who are dying of COVID are being cremated because its contagious. NeuroEndocrine Tumour is not.

Read the article yourself before coming with stuff like 'celebrity privilege' on a thread like this. People are allowed to be buried. Covid guidelines allow it too. Here there was obvious miscommunication or the trustees acted like complete assholes. One of the two or both.

That's true. He deserved so much. He deserved a better rukhasti. A better Goodbye. Covid has taken away so much from those who lost their loved one not just their life but a proper goodbye too..
