Yes, Kalidasa's Raghuvamsam has information of Lava and Kusha after Rama. Kusha married a Naaga kanya from her swayamvar. Her name was Kumudhati and they had a son called Atithi.

It was nowhere near perfect, but it got some things right. It's portrayal of Yudhisthir is far better and closer to the epic than BRC's ever was. Some parts were enjoyable, and the scenery was simply gorgeous, especially in the beginning. The actors all did a wonderful job.

Just love the BRC Mahabharata. At least Ramanand Sagar Ramayana had some competition with NDTV Ramayana but BRC Mahabharata has no other show even near to it

Unlike Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan, BR Chopra's Mahabharat actually had a lot of mistakes, misrepresentations and inaccuracies.

The songs were excellent, and their portrayal of Krishna, Arjuna and Draupadi was good, but otherwise they whitewashed Karna and even created some inaccuracies that people, to this day, believe is true. They made Draupadi say 'andhe ke putra andha' to Duryodhan and people still bash her character to this day for that, without realizing she never said that in the epic. He also had Draupadi call Karna 'suta putra' in her swayamvar which she never did in the epic. Others also showed it after him but he was the first one to do it.

I personally feel like someone has yet to make the perfect Mahabharata. We have near perfection in the form of Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan, and NDTV Ramayan was really good and enjoyable also. But to this day, we do not have a perfect Mahabharata yet. BR Chopra's was as inaccurate as current versions. Ramanand Sagar's Shri Krishna was good until teenage years, the whole adult Krishna/MB portion was also inaccuracte. Star Plus' Mahabharat fixed some of BRC's mistakes but made a whole lot of different ones. 😆

I don't think we'll ever have the perfect Mahabharat....but it's sure nice to dream lol.

Ohh I have seen during the original rerun, I ain't watching it again (except for their Rukmini Haran, I'll never be tired of it). 🤣
