I am still giving him a benefit of doubt that maybe the translation by KMG was slightly wrong. After all he was translating at the time of British and immidiately after the first war of independence, hence showing Hindus in bad light served the purpose of British

This Yudhishtir should have been called Kshamaraj instead of Dharmaraj

Yudhistar didn't not ask bheem and Lord Krishna to forgive jarasandh

Not everywhere yudhistar ask for forgiveness

Yudhistar asking to forgive that doesn't not mean he supports crime or he has any sympathy for criminal

Because if that is so if he so believe in forgiveness that he would have never take part in Mahabharata battle and would have never fough t against with kaurav against dharma as there is no compulsory to fight in war

But yudhistar also take part in war and fight against kaurav for dharma

So he too raise weapons against adharm

And yudhistar always strictly follow speak truth

In war he said aswathama mara gaya ( son of drona charya) which was lie

To speak lie was difficult for yudhistar but still sake of dharma he speak lie and that is why drona charya was being killed

He avoid war not because he has sympathy for criminal but because due to war lot of innocent life is badly effect and too recover all resources it took many months

And today also war is avoid only because it will badly effect life of innocent people in long term

After Mahabharata battle yudhistar did ashwamedh yag

Aswamedh is very difficult yag but still yudhistar do it. Why? Because due to war there is great loss of resources so to recover resources he did ashwamedh for welfare for his kingdom

Yudhistar really care for welfare of people and really work hard for it and really stand against adharm
