If one can ignore their superficial stuff, only then you can enjoy this series.

2nd season is tad better than first but that’s not saying much given the first season is so awful...

The acting is so artificial...did anyone even laugh at siddhis stand up comic acts? forget that did anyone laugh at all lol? for what is supposed to be a lighthearted fun show there really is no fun..

Yelling “wohoooooo” 500 times per episode and having shots dosent exactly make the audience have fun

Manvi annoyed me the most followed by bani j and her perpetually “I am abt to cry” face

also hated the fake feisty-ness of sayani and kriti and their characters...their characters are literally abt them thinking of themselves as top shit when it comes to their profession, but we don’t see an iota of emotional maturity, ability to cope, ability to take setbacks, tact, dignity, knowing when to say what etc .. which is required for professional success

They demand not to be judged but judge everyone else around them with zero empathy or without even bothering to understand them (omg publishers rejected my book coz they are government slaves booo)

and don’t even get me started on the depiction of men and partners in general...they are either assholes or super decent but still not perfect enough for the 4 Princesses

The best char is the series and best performance comes from Amrita puri playing Kavya...totally rooted for her...calm, composed, dignified and non judgemental
I would want to see more of her than any of these 4 annoying idiots

After so much hullabullo I finally watched season 1..and quite enjoyed it, maybe cos my expectation was really low after all the bashing the show got here and on YT. The only likable characters were kavya and Arjun amd Jeh though he was too good to be true..Most annoying was Damini. Some of the sex scenes were just put for sensationalism and nothing more also badly choreographed lol.. will watch season 2 later.

SPOILERS!!!

So I finally binged both the seasons..it wasn't as bad as it was made out to be but honestly couldve been much better. Its like an honest version of Veere Di Wedding, without all the superficial shit.

Barring Bani, all the actors are great. Thats one thing I really love about web series, no artificial makeup or photoshopped skin, the characters actually look relatable or like someone you could know. And I think the best part is that genuinely good actors get a chance...who in Bollywood would be cast in supporting characters. Our so called A Listers could learn some natural acting from these guys.

There were a lot of inconsistencies in characters post the first season...I think due to the director getting changed. That was a downer.

Okay so about the characters:

Damini's storyline could've been so much better. But the amount of boy drama is too much. Agar she would've put even half the boy drama effort in her professional life and remained focussed other than hooking up all the time, things would've been better for her professionally. She wouldn't be in the position where is dependent on people around her. Milind was wonderful truly, the least problematic person in the show. 😆

Anjana's breakup with Arjun was probably the worst thing to happen. But Shashank was a great add on. Sameer is such a great actor, so natural and very classy. IPL se seedha Prime Video haan! I wish that open marriage angle wasn't in the picture. Coz Anjana and Sameer would make a great couple under normal circumstances. They complement each other so well.

Siddhi's life is something I have seen closely in real life. Fat shaming and being forced to get married (believe me some SoBo mothers are like that!). I was actually happy to see her do something for a living. Although initially there were huge writing inconsistencies. It was great to see her mother being so supportive and trying to make amends after all the shit that she put her daughter through. I was very glad to see two Disney actors, Maanvi and Prabal together as well. :) Simone Singh was gorgeous and great, I wish she had more scenes in S2.

Umang's storyline could have been soooo much better. They had the opportunity to show a happy and normal lesbian relationship. But what she did in the end...i mean wtf?! First she hurt her parents and now the so called 'love of her life' who just got out of depression. Isn't love about adjusting a bit and being supportive? Where did all that go in the end? Frankly, Samara deserves MUCH better. I hope to see her in S3.

Other than that Kavya (Amrita Puri) was so good. The amount of dignity and class she has is wonderful. Varun was pretty much the same brat but there's something endearing about him. I hope he doesn't hurt the girls in his life again, especially after that stupid kiss.

One actor who really blew my mind away was Prateik Babbar! What a powerhouse of talent yaar! It doesn't feel like he's acting. His style, mannerisms and voice reming me a lot of Saif, but thats a good thing. No one played the urban cool dude as good as Saif. I hope to see Prateik in more shows in the future! And his character Jeh is SUCH A SWEETHEART! I wanted to hug him by the end of the show and console him 😆 I hope Jeh gets someone good in his life, he's been hurt too many times specially since he is so freaking faithful.

The sex scenes were majorly for promotion. I wish the trailer focussed more on the storyline. Mental health and wellbeing, finding yourself in your 20s (when everyones generally chosen their field and settled) were two very strong points they could've promoted but they chose sex lol. Plus half the inconsistencies are due to dumb plot twists...but still its fun to watch.
