Iâve always imagined another man who becomes Kuhuâs best friend and someone she can openly share her feelings with. Someone whoâs on her side. Counselling and a best friend, thatâs what I want! He can have his own set of problems that Kuhu would help him through because sheâs great like that.
Now this best friend obviously has to be related to the RVâs; Abir and Kunalâs cousin?đ¤ How else would we get their relationship constantly thrownin Kunalâs face and the classic jealousy trope?đ No, I wouldnât want the story to be too cliched. I just desperately want someone in that house whoâs there to hear Kuhu out without belittling her.
Iâd like to see Kunal observing the two bond on a deeper level which intensifies his insecurities about himself and his relationship with Kuhu. This would eventually lead to Kunal sharing these thoughts with Kuhu, maybe.

Coming back to the therapy idea.
From the hindi tv shows Iâve watched, I donât think Iâve never seen a proper counselling story. But I watched a Marathi show, Bheti Laagi Jeeva, which had the lead actor, Vikas, regularly attending counselling sessions. It was a huge part of the show actually and it was done really well (of course until the makers decided to screw it up to try and garner ratings). I used to discuss the episodes on IF and a bunch of us were amazed by the way the character was written and portrayed. It was so refreshing to see such a flawed but relatable character in such a prominent role. Itâs also why the show was rushed towards the end andit didnât last long.
Funnily enough the actor who played Baba, Sameer Dharmadhikari, was the lead actor of that show. He did yrhpk after that show had ended I think. He was outstanding as Vikas, really! I cringed seeing him in this show after his previous performance. The actor is so talented but they managed to make him look caricaturish here.
PS. sorry, got a little side-tracked going down memory lane but I wanted to share this as soon as the therapy idea had come up. If anyone can understand Marathi and/or has the patience I recommend you watch the show or a couple of episodes at least.
