Welcome Ayesha 🙂
I love Romione too!!❤️ In the book universe, Romione all the way but in the movie universe, nope! Not at all! They ruined Ron's character completely. Ron is so cool in the books and they butchered him so badly in the movies😣.
Also, more than dramione, I shipped Emma and Tom. Probably the only actors I have shipped religiously. There is so much material also on their real life crushes on each other, to the extent that it feels like you're invading their personal lives. They are great friends now but I do feel that they're going to end up together in real life and I am just basing this on their Instagram posts with each other.
Also, going back to Zuko and Katara, the reason for that was probably Aang being too young for Katara, even though he was really a 100 years older. It seemed so incestuous for some reason, so I picked Zuko for Katara. Incidentally, so did the writers. They revealed that they had thought of pairing them up but they changed their mind at the end because the story was about Aang. That is probably why we saw so many moments between the two in the last season.
Oh yes!! All 3!! I imagined the boy to be younger. On the surface, he is like Kunal, all prim and proper but he actually has a very khurafaati dimaag, kind of like the perfect amalgamation of KuKu. And his sisters are super protective of him and the kid is super perceptive, especially about his mom's feelings and he is there to make her smile with his cute antics when she feels insecure. I actually imagine the sisters being like Fred and George, and the little brother a mixture of Ginny and Ron. All 3 are total bad-asses in my imagination.
I like that your imagination is based much more on the show than mine. I have mixed all the shows in my imagination.
Aah, okay, this makes way more sense to me! I kind of ignored the movies after the third one because they kept skipping all my favourite parts in the books! 😡 And I totally agree with you on Ron -- the movies hollowed him out and gave a lot of his best lines to Harry and Hermione.
I can totally see the Zuko and Katara thing to, but I love when stories subvert the opposites attract thing. I think I just liked the Zuko-Mai pairing from early on, and appreciated the romantic stuff being peripheral to the main friendships. They are the only pair I actively ship on that show. Have you watched The Legend of Korra, as well?
Lol, that's the beauty of headcanons! There can be any number of them. As you have probably deduced by now, I love stories that are as close to canon as possible, where I can see the same traits of the characters manifest in new situations. I guess that's why my headcanons tend to do that as well!
@Snow: I have this sadistic desire ever since I realised I was in love with a supporting pair, that if there is a leap that separates the leads (and there usually is in this medium) then we will get to see that Kuku have been happily married for all those years. I know I am getting way ahead of myself, but I would absolutely love to see them as parents.
That VM 🤣
@Ayesha: Welcome, and thanks for popping in! Your post was amazing and we all really enjoyed it. The whole Kuku community on Insta is amazing, and makes it so easy to love this couple. ❤️

You're not alone, Sam! Even though Kunal and Kuhu have a long way to go in understanding each other, it's always so adorable to imagine their future as parents, because whatever drama happens in between won't affect our imagination. I'd imagine that Kunal would be very unsure of himself at first, especially because he grew up without his dad, and I'd imagine that Kuhu would over-pamper all of her kids, and make sure that none of them feel any kind of favoritism.

Welcome to the AT, Ayesha!!🤗
Thank you for liking the time we spent on analysing KuKu. Would I be wrong in assuming that you've just been a silent reader of this AT and not the other 2? My guess is based on your selection of us 4 people who have shared analysis of the last 2 episodes.
Talking about your IG post, it was so detailed!! It made feel super shy🙈.

Exactly!! They hollowed him out. He was actually my favourite out of the trio but the movies😡.
I'm gonna have to go back and binge watch ATLA to see why you love Mai and Zuko so much. Did they end up getting married?? I forget.
Yes!! I saw Legend of Korra. It was good too but it couldn't match up to ATLA. The dynamics in the show reminded me of district 13 in Hunger games (Have you read it??). That wasn't a good feeling and probably why I couldn't enjoy the show as much as the Avatar.
More than KuKu as parents, I want to see them as babysitters for a day. That would be so fun to watch. Clarity have us a preview and I need more🤤. Though, I do feel that Kuhu would be great. She would be the kid's favourite and Kunal's emotions would be somewhere between being fed up and admiring Kuhu and imagining her as a mom. Then, he would get into action and help out Kuhu with whatever she needed. (I'm imagining Kuhu being very close to Eugene from the Try guys, if anyone has seen their YT videos).
Welcome Ayesha 🤗
You guys are so creative. As you can see, we spend a lot of time fangirling over your creations
Happy you joined us

@bold 1: Oh man, you have gotten me started on my favourite topic -- the evolution of ITV. 🤓 So I think that the early EK shows were more unashamedly modelled after soap operas and telenovelas. There wasn't really a strong plot, just characters who were moved around to create maximum drama. Then around 2008 came what I call the "social issue" renaissance of ITV, which I believe started with Balika Vadhu. There was a huge wave of shows about women who were victims of some social evil or the other and rose up against it. I think the peerless leads we see even today are a remnant of that era.
Around 2013-15, the popularity of Pakistani serials and their broadcast in India changed the visuals of ITV a lot. The looks and dialogues became far more naturalistic but a lot of the writing kept falling back on the old tropes because the show had to go on indefinitely. I observe a lot of shows and see how different PHs negotiate all of these variables.
@blue: I am so on board for Meenu getting some TLC. As I have said many times, Parul and Meenu were my first ship on this show. ❤️ They have a healthier partnership than all the older couples by far. That said, I would not object to them getting their own romances. Meenu can't be older than 60 and Parul might not even be 50 yet! There is plenty of time to live a more exciting life. 😉
@bold 2: Finally, a show I haven't seen 😆
Haha it's my favourite topic too.
2008- OMG exactly. BV was the first show to start the trend of socially aware content which was followed by Na Aana Iss Des Laado, Uttara etc. BV was done well but I don't know when that metamorphosed into Saath Nibhana Saathiya and Sasuraal Simar Ka type content. Also, pre-2008, the shows were mostly set in urban India and the families were all upper middle class business families. With BV, shows started being set in more rural and traditional subcultures.
Peerless leads- 🤣So true. Sant mahatmas ain't not nothing on them!
2013 onwards- Yeah, there was a time when Pakistani TV shows were popular but now that has died down. I have noticed that the Indian audience likes the same wine in a new bottle. If you think of shows from other countries which have been or are popular, it's Pakistani, Turkish and Korean shows. The popular shows usually share all the tropes that Indian shows possess, like Feriha, Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Humsafar, Boys Over Flowers etc. RIch guys meets poor girl and there are fireworks is the basic premise.
Post-2016 is when we have seen Ishqbaaz and IPKKND 3 type kitschy sets with characters looking like they've just walked out of Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. The next game-changer was of course Naagin which introduced the wave of supernatural shows populated with icchadari nevlas and peacocks.
