Could be .. But mostly it is panic and finger pointing - which is kinda expected given the current scenario ..

Unfortunately though , what i can't deny is the possibility of the truth in either of these accusations .. Racism against Asians is going to skyrocket after what China put the whole world through ( whether intentionally or unintentionally ) ..

I will have sympathy for every racially abused person, but I also don't take people who are politically driven seriously, I don't take their stories as absolute truth tbh, and always have questions over the authenticity of their stories. Yes a narrow, regressive and inhuman mindset, but that is me. Can't change.

Recession. All I'm saying is that even direct evidence indicates that it's not just them...not singlehandedly...now whether there are other players involved or just some corrupt senators colluding with them....

I could care less about racism...there's always people who lose their shit...And then there's others losing their shit to show they are not like the "bad ones" ....like one side spits or hurls expletives at the Chinese...while another will hug them to virtue signal...And then catch the virus...both herds..

Anyway we got to worry about a global recession. I'm told India escaped relatively unscathed in 2008...let's hope the same this time..

I think this comment is slightly antithetical as the two things shouldn't have any correlation! :)

I though am sympathetic of Chinese Americans. There is a lot of hate being propagated in their names. Which is a shame!

Also, I DO think it is the middle and old aged white folks in the US who have a higher probability of hostility to other races compared to youngsters. Problem being US was predominantly white, but now the minorities are surging sharply. So they're not as used to seeing so many Asians Blacks and Latinos... it's natural to feel slightly out of place.

You do realize that even north east people are being subjected racism as they look "Asian" ?

That is true. I was only pointing out that it is incorrect to make an assumption that someone from Northeast should be sympathetic of the Chinese merely on the basis of them being from Northeast. And therein lied the irony...
