1. The innocent admiration

The first clear memory I have of her is when I was nearly 3 1/2 years old. She used to be around before that too I guess. But that's the actual time I can remember her from. And there is a good reason for it too.

Flashback:-

Like it happens with most of the siblings duos, where the older one would not want to play with the younger one, because they think, the younger one doesn't know how to play and would only mess up their game. It was one such similar incident, when annie has refused to play with him.

Little Maan was hurt & upset, pouting lips and a frown on his small forehead, he was sitting in a corner in the lawn, outside the house.

He heard the opening of their main gate, and looked up. It was his sister Annie's friend who would often come to play with her. The thought made him angry, for he too wanted to play.

He again went back to his previous position, head bend down, that stubborn pout increasing more.

"Hey.. Maan.."

The voice caused him to look up. Instead of going in, she had come to him. She offered him a smile, coming to sit beside him. He didn't return her smile like he usually would. Noticing his gloomy face she asked him gently..

"What happened?? Why are you sitting here alone ?? "

That was what he needed that time, someone to ask him what's wrong and he poured out everything to her....

" Annie is also not playing with me. I am getting bored... What do I do??" Maan asked her, feeling angry & helpless.

He looked at her with expectant eyes, hoping she would find some solution to his problem. She thought for a moment...

"I can play with you" She offered.

Her words instantly changed his mood, that gloomy face gone and a smile forming replacing the pout.

" Really?? You will play with me?? " His innocent eyes filled with excitement.

She laughed seeing him back in mood.

"Yes.. I will play with you! "

They decided to play hide & seek. He was supposed to hide while she searched for him. it was fun and he enjoyed every bit of it. When annie saw how these two were having so much fun, she too joined them.

The way she changed his boring day in the most fun-filled, exciting day for him, he liked her a lot for that. That was the beginning...of his innocent admiration for her.
