That's another thing that I love about this show.
Usually the villain unintentionally plays cupid in tv shows. Often it works in the leads' favor led by coincidences
But here it's not the case. The villain does actual bad things which are capable to yield genuine bad results.
But all the points you said turned into Maya's favor because of her own plannings----be it Rudra running to Hrishikesh or be it the ring fiasco.
BUT
Nothing of those plannings would have seen success if not for others' love for Maya. I said others and not Rudra because Myra basically sacrificed her life so that Maya can be happy with Rudy.
And we can never forget Rajeev and Nandini.
And Maya's whole planning of seducing Rudra was based on his reactions on her tears. He too was ready to sacrifice her life in lieu of saving her. Even in the ring fiasco, Rudra noticed the septic in Maya's hand and broke it, though the first step was taken by Maya's planning and manipulation. But it still would have failed if Rudra were ignorant towards her sufferings.
So when the Villain becomes unintentionally cupid, the driving force for the central romance becomes hatred.
But here it has always been pure unconditional love.
I don't know whether that was the intention of the makers or it's unintentional and it happened because of the audience response on Mayra. I haven't even watched the S1.
But I have a feeling this season is actually based on beyadh Pyar.
The last one was based on beyadh nafrat (her nafrat for her abusive father, controlling/submissive mother, MIL, saanjh etc.). What she had for Arjun was beyadh pagalpan and not love. Now pardon me if I am wrong coz I have only heard about it and read the plot in wiki.
But this seeason is based on Beyadh pyaar nevertheless.
Actually the thing is when something becomes obsessive the opposite actually rises strongly..
Like in bh1 Maya was in obsessively in love and when love went over board, hate surfaced towards her.. from the same person she loved so much ended up hated her.. and that made her obsession rise more and more till she was killed by the same love..
Here the story and everything is diff.. we have 3 ppl having beyhadh of diff dimensions.. Rudra being the beyhadh pyar.. even Shiva was known for his forgiveness.. sometimes he empowered the wrong and he himself destroyed the one he empowered.. this will happen to Maya now and MJ later..
Maya is beyhadh nafrat.. her hate to MJ will always be there to end him and his allies.. she is the durga to use her hate to destroy the wrong and Rudra love will strengthen her and give her all the weapons to fight..
Mj being the beyhadh sanak.. he is proving to be the perfect villian here.. he had unknowingly or knowingly brought MayRa closer and closer.. their love story starts where other shows finish..
