upon my breasts

Mixing, churning, maddening me inside,

Gathering my swollen ripeness

Spilling nectar,

As my body and blood

Bursts into flower.

We are not the first gutterwasis it seems.

Any number of poems that I have read of Andal, they're always so hauntingly beautiful.

One of the songs from her Nachiyar Thirumozhi is "Naalai Vazhuvai", there she described her dream where she married her Lord Sri Rangamannar (a form of Krishna) and there is a strikingly similar bhajan by Meera which is "Mai Mhane Supnama Parnya re Deenanath"

I always find it so heartwarming, the way these two ladies brought their Lord soo close to themselves. The sense of familiarity, is does not matter if he's the Lord of the universe or just some random cowherd, he still is the Lord of my heart!

This is swayam sahaja sampoorna samarpan (spontaneous, easy and complete surrender), that was, before this, exhibited only by Radha.

Nachiyaar Thirumozhi in Tamil is at its peak of beauty <3

For Andal embraces every form of Narayana as Her Lord, be it Rama, Krishna, Narayana, Srinivasa, Varadha, Vamana as Trivikrama- name the form and they come in her Pasurams.

No it is written by Andal, a 7th century Meera.

Andal is Bhu-MahaLakshmi, and is worshipped so too.
