I will agree with you that Abir is not aware of complete truth but even if he were, I don't think his reaction would be any different. He has been pitched as a very perceptive person in the show and there is a lot more at play here. Let us play out what happens if everyone finds the truth as Mishti wishes because she is about to hand Meenu trumpcard.
Kunal- He is in fledgling state of love and probably does not have the same bonding as Mishbir. To top it, he is struggling with the fact that he is illegitimate and his mother is someone who he thought was servant. He also has mixed feelings about Meenu. He loves her but is aware of her manipulation and he finds it hard to acknowledge Parul when Meenu is around. If he were to find out the truth, he would be heartbroken and probably never be able to forgive Kuhu. Even if the pills were in coffee by mistake, why did kuhu not stop anyone from drinking the coffee then and there? Essentially Kuku relationship will be broken in a way that will be hard to mend
Meenu- The whole point of this nautanki was for one of the sisters to break, either Kuhu to throw tantrum or Mishti to speak the truth. The result in either case would be same, she would blame one sister of trying to harm her son and another to sow discord and be home breaker. Kunal would hate Kuhu so he would never stand by her after knowing all her kaands and Abir would be stuck in damage control mode. She was going to bet rid of both of her daughter-in-laws with this master stroke and her sons would be rendered helpless unless they wanted to walk out of the house. she would be back to controlling the household as she would have got rid of all challengers. Both daughter-in- laws gone, Parul forced into her place broken under gratitude and both sons back to zombie mode.
Parul- Parul would die of embarrassment as to what her bahu did and planned. This would make her staying at Meenu's place harder and whatever power/confidence she has gained to speak up once in a while would be lost in her guilt and shame.
Maheshwaris- Another family that would be embarrassed to death, both daughters would be back home unhappy pointing fingers at each other and with very little resolution in sight. The biggest problem lies with them on how they deal with conflict amongst sisters and give Jas free hand to bad mouth Mishti. Varsha knows that Jas instigates Kuhu but she lets it go. I am surprised that Jas keeps talking about haq but actually if Abir were to marry another girl, she would have band bajao of Kuhu. Mishti is more compassionate because she understands Kuhu and is willing to protect her to save Maheshwaris heartache. For all their insecurities, the sisters do care about each other to some extent. I found it interesting that BM committed to get the ribbon cutting ceremony being done by Meenu to thank her for letting coffee issue go without first talking to Mishti. she had no right to interfere without understanding the dynamics first. Also it is surprising that she has not noticed that Kuhu actively tries to usurp Mishbir's rights at every event and it is taking toll on Mishti. I guess people only see what they want to see.
Kuhu- It is not that she is not responsible but she passes blame of her actions to others so that she does not have to feel guilty and she does not have to be accountable for consequences. Of course everyone indulges her so it has become her way of operating. In some ways she is Peter Pan. What do you think will happen if she is thrown out of RJV house, she will point finger at Mishti for her sorry state and do something crazy like attempt a suicide. Until Abir indulges her, he has her ears, otherwise she will be completely in Jas's mind control mode. He has to figure out a different way of punishing her instead of being rude to her because she is impulsive and immature. I wish she starts understanding consequences of her actions pretty quickly otherwise she will end up becoming pawn in Meenu/Jas's .... dirty game.
Abir- He is smart enough to see that regardless of what happens, if the truth comes out it will destroy Kuku marriage, break hearts of his family and Maheshwaris, alienate Kunal and Parul, force him to make a decision that Mishti does not want him to make and all this will be blamed on Mishti and she will be collateral damage. The only one who truly gains is Meenu. He has to find a resolution that works for everyone but he does not know what that is. He can walk out but that re-enforces Mishti's trauma and triggers her insecurity. The only other solution is to build a bond between the sisters but that can only happen when he has confidence of both sisters, they are secure in the love of their husbands and place in RJV household..not a quick or easy thing. His only mistake was saying what he said to Mishti about fighting...somehow that seemed out of context when he said that but it did allow him to see Mishti's fear and insecurities. I like the fact that Mishti expressed her anger openly by banging at plates and questioned him, in Maheshwari household, she would consider it payment for all ehsaans and walk out with a fake smile as if it did not matter to her. She is changing.
Mishti- She is going to get hurt no matter what happens but probably the current hurt from Abir is probably more bearable than her knowing that she wrecked her sister's marriage and hurt her foster family. Her own marriage would end up at risk should that happen. Truth is great but the context matters too. It is a lesson she needs to learn. She seems to constantly take extreme approach either hide everything or fight back with no regards to consequence but sometimes the consequences are very painful, you need diplomacy which is Abir's strong suit. She is not wrong when she said Kuhu should be punished otherwise she will keep escalating but she needs to punish in a way that the rest of family stays unscathed. I also think she is all for revealing truth because she thinks that Meenu will do the right thing and this will be a small family tiff. I wonder if she would still want to reveal the truth if she knew how Meenu manipulated Kuhu and what Meenu wants to do with the whole discord situation.
