I feel paras knew sid felt for her before that ..actuallymore than sid feeling he had this feel that sidnaaz both can have deeper feelings for each other in future ...that hand holding scene was a hint from him that these two are very close ..actually for him shehnaaz with sid was more of his ego issue ..he couldn’t tolerate they share such pure and strong bond and that it was so well appreciated...remember how he bitched that sid is way too much possessive for sana and tried to call it male ego ..he even had the strategy of braking their bond to keep sid to his side
