Waise, I just watched today's N2 after Nikki's confirmation. The scene where Madhu was dragging PP got me confused. I couldn't decide whether I should laugh or get angry. 🤪

And I take it back. The evil smirk in the promo was on point but Shezaan was horribly disappointing as EDV. Who the hell is directing this show?

Am sorry but I couldn't control and shared it, cos there seriously have been better people and people who have worked really hard.

N2 toh am not in discussions, but then again I want to just ask you, Nushy. Don't you think you are giving too many free passes for N2?! Like when same happened in Yjhjk show, you had got totally pissed but now you want PP to have something like Pia and GM, which will be a total copy. Just cos it's name is N2, they can copy all?! Even the direction..Atif is only directing the show, when it started. Though I have not seen it, am still going to say playing DV isn't an easy task and you need to practice a Lot.

Am quite happy they haven't copied Pia and GM bond.

Well, I don't blame you. 😆 Anyone who have seen my frustration regarding Jinn would say the same.

But then again, there are certain reasons behind my changed behavior. 😊

First of all, as time passes by, people evolve and others help them to do it. You know how much I am attached with Nazar. But then again, it was the first ITV Supernatural show I had seen and you pointed out that certain plots are used everywhere. Watching IPN made things clearer for me and I would definitely say apart from VFX, that show was 10,000 times better than Nazar. I am not saying this because of Piyal. Because Nazar too has Niyati and had Sana for a brief period of time if we talk about favoritism. 😛

So definitely I know better now and showing more patience. 😊

Another huge issue is, apart from a handful of Shruti fans, no one is going gaga over N2 nor is terming it as unique. Even in TellyUpdates website I have seen those who had seen Nazar are very much vocal about the copy pasting apart from a few who would watch anything in name of romance.

But in case of Jinn everyone, including some Nazar fans were hell bent on proving that show original when it had nothing other than top notch VFX. And I am saying this genuinely, even N2 isn't that copy pasted version as they did it in Jinn. And the fans' praise and ill-remarks were on a whole different level. So more than the show itself, I felt disgusted at those bunch of fans. 😡 🤬

Coming to N2, no matter how amazingly you write a rebooted version, comparison is bound to happen. And frankly, I have never seen any rebooted version to surpass the original version's popularity or storyline; be it Indian or American. Certain scenes are copied in every show but when you are comparing two seasons, it's much more evident. Like today I came across YHC and the shower scene instantly reminded me of when Ishita got drunk and Raman made her stand under shower. I simply thought of YHM because it was Season 1. So whatever they'll do in N2, somewhere it'll always remind us of the original version.

Plus, I saw the amount of bashing Sana received during NK days. Not so proud of it but I did question Zee's decision on choosing Akanksha over Sana when Bhootu was on air. So it's a fact - as fans we get hyper. I didn't want to repeat that again and gave them the lease. But after today's episode, I most certainly take it all back because today there was much scope and yet both of them failed miserably. Beyond this point, you can't blame everything on the crappy writing.

And I didn't want another Piya-GM bond. That will always be their thing. But most certainly I would have appreciated a strong Daivik because she is Goddess Durga's medium for God's sake!!!! So this Bicharipaan is too much to take for me.

Well, sure! Thanks for explaining your reasons and analysis. Can just say, appreciate your patience and good luck. IPN was 10k times better? Wow! Great you enjoyed it so much. We many times tend to say, it's not cos of our favourites, but they definitely play a huge impact. Saying in general. But then good, you did find it. For me, getting such a show like so much awesome, needs a lot! It will need grey shades, layers, character arcs, development, side characters story, all getting their space and time and a Story! Basically it's so much, that I am not going to actually get this type of show, sigh. 🤣🤣

Honestly, was just curious to know things. N2 doesn't qualify for me in Supernatural genre in the first place, so I don't follow it and hence I will never compare. It's like I want Nazar untouched. Plus a show where song couldn't have a single original lyric, lacks everything!

Like random VFX doesn't make a show supernatural or fantasy, a flow should be there.

I always said that, an actor's investment is needed and you need to take efforts. It's of course not on just writing. It's all on screen presence and your craft.

Yes. Thanks. As I had told you once, Nazar was unique cos it was very good and really different from Gul's standard projects. N2 if you are seeing this, it's normal, check most of her shows and FL has this trait.

True! 😆 No matter how hard we try to become unbiased, we still give lease to our favorites' projects. 10K might be a bit of exaggeration but honestly, while I love Nazar for the mystery element and Piya's character; I have always had issues with both Ansh and Piya for tolerating the crap their family threw at them. Not to mention glorification of Mo. In those aspects, IPN shone. Iccha and Babbal had no layer at all but they were always vocal, even when their own parents or partner were wrong. And the supporting cast were amazing and everyone was highlighted. Plus, it was mostly comedy and no kitchen politics. So what more could I ask? 😃

About N2, I get your point. Frankly, I don't even consider it as a part of Nazar franchise like I didn't consider Yes or No 3 because I could never think beyond Kim and Pie. But I guess I am more tolerant this time because Season 1 didn't get an abrupt ending. We got a good one, no one was replaced and no one was butchered at the final stage. So it has been easier. Unlike Grey's Anatomy which just took 3 episodes to destroy 4 couples and gave the shittiest send off to one of the most beloved characters. 😡 😡 😡

About Ansh and Piya too, I don't want to consider any parameter. I know you prefer Ekta over Gul and yes, she is much better between the two of them. But ultimately even her MLs turn out to be toxic and FLs become Jagatmata. So for me PiyAnsh are like the breath of fresh air whom I could adore till the end like ArMu, AarHi, Mauli and Aryan. That's more than enough for me.

I will be watching it today afternoon on Hotstar... Just that this has happened for the second time with me. First time, when I tuned in to watch that marriage episode, I ended up falling asleep within the first ten minutes. And now yesterday again I tuned in but fell asleep within a few minutes.

Looks like even my TV does not want me to watch N2 on it and give them trp's 😆

Exactly! They kinda did, cos typical Star Show kind. But I still love it cos they didn't fizz out post marriage like most shows.

Plus like skipping episodes help as I say or watching once the show is done, cos you can skip. You could do these with IPN and I did it with Nazar cos I skipped but any live show, we do get bored at points for no sense.

That's great IPN didn't have any, but Nazar also never had any kitchen politics, plus at later phases we used to all laugh. I did appreciate it cos they always ended tracks in two weeks and did come up with something creative, ofc they had flaws and messed but they did.

Well I had mainly mentioned Ekta knows the game, makes stuff entertaining, doesn't do extreme forced marriage or copy paste, her characters do have a depth and a charm, somewhere. Like she develops a love story. Plus yes, one thing I totally love about Ekta is she makes God powerful and doesn't make a joke like what Gul did in Nazar with glorification of Mo.

Of course Ekta also has those typical tracks of leads and worse, and her shows too go on forever. So technically neither can I follow Ekta's show or Gul's show from start to end. Gul's youth shows, one or two were actually quite good, she can explore but she understood forced marriages get trps.

Same, hence I said Piansh were unique and a beautiful couple, had a consistency till end.

There have been very few favourites for me. Main reason being consistency till end. Till a point, characters and couples remain awesome but they totally mess then.
