Actually they called him saying we have someone new here and it was cut there.. he may be the new entry .. he is not main lead in MM.. and since he is already associated with lsd then they might as well use him for the remaining 2 culprits

Rajeev approaches Maya, stressed like never before.

"You ok?"

"Something's not wrong, something's wrong!" He gasps at her.

"Huh?"

"I think I am developing feelings for Aditya, no, scratch that, I have feelings for Aditya"

Maya stares at him, a retort controlled to herself with difficulty. How can he fall for the man that is against her, against them.

"I know!" He says, breaking her revirie.

"I shouldn't be in love, or whatever with him, but this feels so right Maya, you know what I am saying right, of course you do, becuase you yourself are in love, and though you and your feelings are messed up to a good mark, mine aren't, they are simple, clear, and they are scaring me,"

"Becuase falling in love with him will hurt you,"

"Becuase if I get involved with him, you will get hurt, you idiot!" He yells at her, surprising her. It wasn't his own feelings or safety that he is worried of, he is worried for her.

"Don't you see Maya, feelings, they make you vulnerable, they made you so vulnerable once that you couldn't handle them for another 10 years, imagine for a second if Aditya gets to know my feelings and uses them against me? I will end up hruting you and Aunty,"

"No you won't, you are way more sorted with your feelings, your words and your actions than me. MJ tortured you yet you didn't break"

Maya nods, not understanding what to say. She only wishes she had this clarity when she was falling for MJ, so see what feelings for a wrong man could do.

"You should get away from.jwre," she says after a long pause.

"I was thinking the same" he hugs her, reminding her of Manas, and then next day, when Nandini asks for Rajeev, she lies that he has left for a business deal, while Rajeev is low lying in a shanty hotel, waiting for Aaditya to strike Maya, only to protect her.
