I've heard of that too and I don't agree with it. Just being with a person cause they love you more is kinda selfish actually. It's taking their love for granted knowing whatever happens they will love you. That's never fair to them. Eventually that kinda love only leads to hurt,resentment and regret.

Love stems from two sides or it's not healthy at all. One should always go for the one they love and then demand the same affection and respect from them that they show their partners. You must be the example you want your partner to be. Love isn't about being perfect to somebody,it's about being full of faults and yet be loved because that makes both of you human.
