I feel He doesn't wanna claim something in public which is not properly cooked.

They are dating and taking it slow. Like fifi said " Sidharth bhi chahte hain sana ko and dekhna chahte hai ye kaise shape hoti hai friendship" (and I believe fifi didn't say anything extra,it was very Sid like statement).

Sid has feelings for sana. But right now he is not sure how it will blossom in a full fledged relationship. So he is not accepting it openly. Accepting it openly means confirming he is in a relationship with her

I think he is pretty honest here. He knows they both are attracted and stuff but will it survive in the long run,he wants to see that. Things take time
