Insta followers is a shallow method of gauging someone’s popularity. Ahad has 1.1 m followers and Muneeb Butt has 2.2m on insta. Does that mean Ahad is a lesser superstar as compared to Yumna and Muneeb. It sounds ridiculous. Females tend to have more followers then male counterparts.

Secondly someone’s work of more no years doesnt mean he/she is a bigger star. Yumna is senior but she is quite dead fish. Her shows have never got trps or popularity. She is in every other show. Name a single Hit project of her. Her shows have always been lower on trp charts. She lacks the dynamic appearance like Ayeza Saba Iqra or Sajal.

Yumna makes better pair with Omair due to age factor. Saba was much senior than Bilal but together in same frame I can still buy their chemistry if they are paired up together. Yumna simply looks like teeth-less granny of Bilal.

Bilal is fairly new and so does Ahad. If no of years is the scale then is she a bigger star than Ahad.. No!!! Yumna is praised for a couple of projects only and Bilal with less no of projects than her have garnered more praise than her!! Its quality over quantity!!

Pyar Ke Sadqay Episode 6: Mehjabeen’s Lies And Antics Continue

In Pyar Ke Sadqay, Yumna Zaidi’s Mehjabeen continues to fib in her excitement to impress her fiancé as Bilal Abbas Khan’s Abdullah continues his pursuit of Shanzay

28 Feb 2020 Sophia Qureshi

Pyar Ke Sadqay is a show with a lot of expectations and eyes set on it. Directed by Farooq Rind, the show has Yumna Zaidi, Bilal Abbas Khan, Atiqa Odho, Omair Rana and many other talented actors in it, making it a show to look forward to each week. However, with the latest episode, the show does take a bit of a nosedive, feeling stagnant as it focuses too much time and energy on Mehjabeen’s foolish behavior.

Bilal Abbas Khan only has one scene in episode 6as Abdullah, which is rather disappointing and, as a Bilal Abbas Khan fan, he is being highly underutilized in a show where he’s one of the strongest performers.

Abdullah and Mansoora are seen discussing Abdullah’s love for Shanzay (Yashma Gill) and Bilal Abbas gives a performance that touches the heart with Abdullah’s devotion to both Shanzay and his mother. Atiqa Odho shines in this episode as Mansoora. While Mansoora has come off as a timid, overtly-grateful woman falling at Sarwar’s (Omair Rana) feet with gratitude for marrying her and “caring” for her two children, her behavior in episode six is downright applause worthy. While she is seen visiting Sarwar’s mother out of respect, she listens to the woman disrespect her openly as Sarwar watches on. Later, when she expresses her dislike for it, Sarwar brushes off her feelings only to then ask Mansoora to choose between him and Munshi Ji. Here is where viewers see a pleasant shift in Mansoora, a woman with money, power and – a backbone. While she may love Sarwar, she also recognizes her own self worth in this scene and calls Sarwar’s bluff. She tells Sarwar that she will not give in to his blackmailing, stating that she’s lived life as a widow before and it’s not difficult for her to live life as a divorcee henceforth. Atiqa Odho performs this shift with grace, dignity and an aura of power befitting of the character she’s playing. One only hopes she sticks to her guns, because as we’ve all seen in the promos, Sarwar will definitely betray her and remain under the same roof.

Other than this, the episodefocuses on Mehjabeen (Yumna Zaidi) and her antics. Unfortunately, Mehjabeen’s antics, which have been cute up until episode 5, fall flat with episode 6. Taking up easily 30 minutes of a 40 minute episode, viewers are forced to watch “comedy” scenes of Mehjabeen trying to purchase trophies and then pass them off as her own. This would have been fine had it been a 5-10 minute segment, but watching Mehjabeen’s child-like antics for such an extended period of time becomes grating. Coming to this, both the writer and Yumna have stated that Mehjabeen is “innocent,” but perfectly normal. This is not realistic as Yumna’s portrayal of Mehjabeen makes Mehjabeen seem like a woman with the emotional maturity of a 7-year-old. This is certainly not just “innocence” – and if it is, it’s being enacted in a completely incorrect way. While Bilal Abbas Khan’s Abdullah is understandable and his behaviors come across as someone who has purposely been stunted by his stepfather. But Mehjabeen is a different story entirely and, in episode 6, she comes across as irritating and unlikable.

Pyar Ke Sadqay has a lot going for it and, at present, Mansoora and Sarwar are the most interesting characters. However, in order for the show to be a viable option for viewers to stick with, Bilal Abbas Khan needs to be placed front and center to utilize his acting talents and the characters need to have some level of likability. This episode was a real let-down, unfortunately.

Critics tearing apart the 'socalled' superstar!! And Sophia Qureshi from Masala was quite a fangirl of Yumna!!

I hope the message reaches to the makers if they want to save the show!!!
