Prologue

It was a black, dark rainy night, the clouds roaring like lion of their own forest. A lame body beneath the shadow of a lamp was dragging himself, to give itself the charge to walk. the children were playing cheering up him, and the same time, some water droplets kissed his cheeks. Opening his mouth, he quenched his thirst, and the lamp witnessed the tears of his eyes, which were mixing and he drank them as well.

After few steps, in the horrified darkness, he stopped at a small house, all abandoned, chairs were broken, sofa was draped with a white clothe, just like him, the white cloth of emptiness, he has engulfed around his body. He sat down on the pebbles near by and looked at the skies realizing that they were about to break the havoc down, not on the earth but on him.

He groped his hands on his pant's pockets and found the wallet in one of them, he kissed it. It was so old and pale, such an out-of fashion one. He again kissed it to open and looked at "her" photograph.

When the same time, a red dulhan lehenga clad, mesmerizing beautiful girl from the another part of the road was running and reached there. She was about to fall flat on the road and got hurt when he held her tightly, leaving that wallet somewhere.

Who was she, a bride ran away from the wedding venue

No! She was a con girl.

And then he looked into his hands, she was no where, unseen, only her photograph was there. but yet an another one, even far more beautiful and innocent from her.

Who was she a con girl?

No. she was a forced bride, running from the wedding venue.
