Rosie, finally i watched Parasite on Saturday....after the Oscars, a new distributor bought the movie and re-released it in cinema so most cinemas was playing it..including the one near my house, which only plays English movies...Parasite was the first international movie playing there.

I liked the movie and my friend who never watched anything Korean and hates subtitles ended up also liking the movie...she said she was able to get into the movie although it was with subtitles.

I also do get why this movie attracted Hollywood...they are not used to this type of story telling and this type of social class subject...so they were captivated...however I do agree with you that there have been lot of good Tamil movies...it's sad that Tamil movies don't get the same type of exposure...maybe in future now that they opened up a bit.

Parasite has nothing similar to Minsara kanna plot other than the fact that a family infiltrate to a house with a purpose...here the family is really poor and not pretending to be poor... their purpose is not love but for financial gain....so Minsara kanna producer better watch the movie before he sues the movie😆.

So good you liked and your friend liked it...and yes hollywood lacks movies similar to parasite but india has made like n number of movies with all genre regarding social class,i even cried watching pariyerum perumal and asuran and wondered why these movies dont make it to international level,but you are right they lack exposure and indian cinema faculty has multiple times failed to send a good film to oscars

I read that until last week,korea had only 100cases,but it spiked to 1000 now cos a lady dint get check up done and refused to go hospital and attended 3 church services resulting in 500-600 people being infected among the 200-300 went places not realising they were infected

South korea still doesnt know the exact no. Of people being infected....hope they all keep safe and get everyone checked..

Another thing is kerala should be appreciated on how it dealt with virus not only covid-19 but nipah virus..they dint let it spread and controlled it...

Also knowledge about covid-19 should be given,it can be cured in early -mid stages with proper treatment

Yes the virus was spread because of religious cult group in South Korea.

Yes, pp could be cured from the virus...the risk is for ppl with chronic diseases, low immune system and elderly ppl...however it's scary how the virus is spreading...it's on the verge of pandemic...for us the government said to prepare as if it will be pandemic...to stock our medications, non perishable food...USA has it's first case where the source of contact is unknown...the person didn't travel to any affected countries or was not in known contact with any ppl who had the virus...it means it got into the community. In Japan they are cancelling all schools for a month.

Its strange how the virus is spreading,there are many theories regarding origin of virus itself and china trying to keep news channels from covering about it initially

Hope the vaccine is found soon,all countries scientist/doctor should try to find a cure
