yes, your point is very valid......... Arnav will need to learn to maintain distance from other girls since he is committed........Khushi will not be with him during the medical studies........

but Khushi also needs to learn to speak clearly........maybe the way you started making her tell him about physical distance from other girls........ but communication is important.........even if they can read each other's mind.......

I'm happy to see Khushi is asking herself the right questions though. I'm sure she'll share them with Arnav soon enough. Hopefully before any damage is done.

Setting all the above aside though, it was lovely seeing the care and love they share. And the way one stern word from Khushi is enough to stop Arnav in his tracks ;)

hehe. thanks. Yes, their moments is what they need to cherish. They are together to make memories that will help them through the time they are separate.

As for khushi asking the right questions, that is why I had her talk to Minta first. Remember. Minta was more concerned about the current situation, while khushi was able to look forward. Next update in interesting in terms of this aspect. I think :S

Arnav is finally putting some distance between Nadia and himself, once he realized it. It took him a long time to make that realization though. Khushi had to spell it out to him.

Thank God for Aranv being able to get the hint in the first time. haha. Normally in reality that doesnt really tend to happen. I mean a guy get the hint the first time around. :/

Chapter 93

Khushi sat up and started to read again.

Arnav: Khushi it is getting late. You should go to bed. Hmm.

Khushi smiled and they both got up. They noticed Aranvs room door open. Nadia walked outside. She had changed into her night suit. She wore a thin strapped tank top with shorts. She had her robe on. Khushis eyes were left wide open. Aranv immediatly looked down and then towards khushi. Nadia immediately wrapped the robe around her.

Nadia: sorry, I thought you guys would be sleeping by now.

Khushi gulped,Aranv looked at her, cupped her face. She looked at him. He reassuringly blinked his eyes. “Trust me” is that all that said to her. She smiled back and went to her room. Aranv layed down on the sofa and closed his eyes. Nadia went and stood beside Aranvs sofa to ask him something.

Nadia: Arnav,what is your plan for tomorrow? I mean, I needed some help in the afternoon. If possible that is.

Aranv kept his eyes closed and one arm rested across his face on top of his eyes.

Arnav: um..tomorrow. Ahem. Afternoon.

Khushi stood behind her door. She was worried. She had a bad feeling. She had to think of something. Something fast!

Nadia: Hello Aranv? I know you are not sleeping.

She stood therewith her hands wrapping her robe around her, while she stared at him.

Arnav recieved a message on his phone. It was pretty late to recieve any message at this time. He furrowed his eyebrows, move his arm that was streched across his eyes and got his phone.

Arnav: What the...

He looked at it and was left in shock. His eyes wide opened. He stopped breathing for a second. He sat up and gulped.

Nadia:Everything ok? You seem really worried. Is everything ok? Let me see your phone.

Aranv moved his phone down and looked at Nadia. He gulped. And looked down again.

Arnav: Uh ,yeah. Everything is fine. Just um.. ahem. Nothing. You were asking for tomorrow afternoon. Right. Umm. I have classes since early morning tomorrow and have labs in the afternoon. I know Tom will be free. You can ask him. Let me message him and let him know.

Before Nadia could even answer, Arnav started to message tom. He then showed Nadia the message he sent to Tom as a confirmation.

Arnav: See, He can now help you.

Nadia looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

Nadia: What was the message before that.

Arnav: Nothing,just umm. Ahem. Nothing. Nadia, listen, its really late. You should go to sleep. Hmm.

Nadia: No Arnav. You seemed very worried or in shock. I am not leaving you alone. Is everything ok?

Arnav stood up and looked at Nadia. He had a straight face. He didnt look at her angrily, but straight enough to give her the message.

Aranv: Nadia, I know you care for me as your friend. I am fine. And everything is fine. And if, ever need by, then dont worry. I have Khushi.

Nadia was a bit taken back.

Nadia: Arnav. She is sleeping right now. And its not an issue. We are good friends, right. I can be here with you right now if you need any help.

Arnav: No you cant. It is late, and you are a girl. Being with a guy at this time is not appropriate at all. Go sleep. I need to go and talk to Khushi right now about something.

Nadia was left in shock. Did he just say he couldnt talk to her right now at this late hour, but needed to go to khushi immediately. Nadia gulped,kept a straight face. She tried not to show her pain. Arnav got up and went towards khushis room. He didnt even bother knocking and went in. He very silently closed the door. Nadia was amazed. She whispered to herself.

Nadia: He didnt even knock on the door. And went into her room this late at night. I.. I ..

She silently went to her room and closed her door.

Arnav walked into her room and saw her standing at the window with her phone in her hand. Her body faced outwards towards the window. She was hugging herself and looking down. He walked up to her and saw her. She had a blank facial expression. He didnt know what to make of Khushi's message.

He turned her around to face him. She kept hugging her self from and kept her gaze down. He crossed his hands infront of him. And just looked at her. He tilted his head a bit to the side to see her face. She was blank. No expressions, no smile. No nothing. Something was wrong. Very Very wrong. He raised his right hand and gently pushed her chin up. She still kept her gaze down. He sighed. He gently held onto her elbows and and gesutred with his head for her to sit down on the bed. She gulped and sat down on the bed. She held her hands in her lap with the phone in them. She still looked down. He kneeled down infront of her. He held onto her hands.

Arnav: Khushi. Look at me please.

Khushi gulped. She didnt know what to say.

Arnav took out his phone. Opened the message khushi sent to him. He took a deep breath. He licked his lips. Cleared his throat.

Arnav: You sent me this message. I .. umm. Am unable to understand it.

He looked at her. She gulped and in a shaky soft voice started to whisper to him.

Khushi: It...it.. says.. that..

She licked her lips and gulped again. She held her phone more tightly into her hands. She took a deep breath to gather all of the courage that she had to be able to say the next few words. She closed her eyes, kept a blank face and continued.

Khushi: It says that, Arnav.. Will you .....please... come... and.. (gulp) sleep....in my room....with me.

Aranv was left in amazement that khushi was even able to utter those words. Something was wrong. Very very wrong. For khushi to say or suggest something like this was troublesome.

Arnav looked at khushi, he tried to get her to look at him. She kept her gaze down. He gulped. He took his right hand and placed it under her chin. He raised her face up. She slowly raised her gaze to look into his eyes. Her eyes were moist. She gulped. He tried to find some answers, but wasnt able to. She was trying to hide something. She looked at him, pleadingly.

Khushi: please.

She sucked in her lips and her chest started to heave slowly. She was trying to hold her tears back.

Aranv put his phone on her bed and cupped her face with both of his hands. A tear escaped her eyes. He looked at the tear. He gently wiped it with this thumb.

Aranv: Khushi,what is wrong.

Khushi: just please. Answer my question.

Arnav: Khushi,I dont think that.. that.. this is right.

She looked down.

Khushi: Arnav, I did not mean. Sleep in ... in terms of... umm.

She looked side to side. Arnav knew she wasnt referring to get physically intimate.

Arnav: Khushi. I know you would never ever refer to sleeping together in terms of..ahem...physical intimacy. I know you that much. Dont worry. But,us. Together, at night.

He gulped. She looked at him. Her eyes pleaded to him to agree to what she was saying.

She gasped for air and started to cry. She quickly wrapped her arms around his neck. He slowly started to slide his right hand down her hair. He wrapped his other arm around her back.

Arnav: shhhhhhhh...

Khushi: Arnav, please trust me and agree to this. Please.

Arnav held onto her arms and pulled her back. She looked down. She wiped her tears.

Arnav: look at me. And tell me. Just tell me what is wrong.

Khushi sniffed and started to tell him what she had heard Nadia say on the phone. Arnav was left amazed.

Arnav: Why didnt you tell me before.

Khushi: because, I thought that maybe I might have heard something wrong. But right now, when she came out in those clothes, and when you were in my lap, I saw the way she looked at us. Aranv. I am scared. I really really am.

Arnav looked at her in amazement. Her fear was right. He always started to think about the way that Nadia behaved around him today. If she knew from before that Aranv was engaged, then why did she act surprised when he told her. And the way that she looked at him when he asked her to move to the other sofa. Arnav sighed. He didnt know what to say. Or what to do. Khushi got up. Aranv was left there kneeling on the ground. He put his elbows on her bed and held his head into his hands.

Khushi walked up to the window and looked outside. After a few moments, Aranv got up and went over to Khushi. She turned her head over her shoulder and looked at him. She was about to talk but then turned around and faced him. She then rest her hands on his chest. She slowly raised her eyes and looked at him. He looked down. He wasnt able to meet her eyes. He felt bad that because of his frankness with someone,they had to face such problems. He kept his hands in his pockets.She raised her left hand and cupped his face.

Khushi: Arnav, But, the other thing, is that. Right now, I am here. I overheard her, what will happen if someone does this while you are away at Med school. I wont be there. Then what will happen. Arnav.. (she looked up at him and her tears started to flow down her cheeks). I..am scared more for that. I trust you. And only you. But I dont trust anyone else. I cant. I just cant. I cant lose you. I am scared just by the thought of that.

Aranv took out his hands from his pocked and cupped her face. He looked at her.

Arnav: I promise you, that no one has ever, is not, and will not ever be able to make a place in my heart and life apart from you. She lowered her hand and then put it on his chest again.

Khushi: I know. But what do we do right now. I cannot let you sleep outside there. Be it alone, or not. I just cant.

She looked down. Arnav sighed. He put his hands on her shoulder. He needed her to listen and understand what he was going to say.

Arnav: Khushi, I cant sleep here. I mean. Ahem. Khushi,

He then closed his eyes and bent his head down.

Arnav: Khushi, please try to understand, if I sleep here, and if by accident,something happens, or even if I accidently, unknowingly my hand goes somewhere, or anything. It will become awkward for us. And..

Khushi understood what he was saying. She was hessitant about the same thing. But, knowing the current situation, she knew what had to be done.

Khushi: Arnav,I trust you, and I trust us. If we had to do something, then we would have a long time ago. We have slept in rooms together before. Yes, not as close, and purposely. I agree. But Arnav. Seeing the current situation, I dont know if there is anything else that we can do. I cant lose you. I just cant. I cant let anything happen to you, to us.

Aranv leaned his head forward and against hers.

Arnav: Khushi, what if.. we cant.. control..

Khushi smiled. She sniffed and moved her head back. She wiped her tears. Looked at him.

Khushi: You have always said, trust us. Today I am asking you to trust us. Trust our upbringing. Our love is not this weak for it be fall prey to this situation.

He looked at her and tried to give a half smile. He nodded his head.

She smiled, gulped.

Khushi: ek minute. Close your eyes.

He looked at her curiously. He closed his eyes and stood there. She moved back and went to her desk. He heard some stretching noise. Once, twice,thrice, and then the forth. What was she upto? She walked back.

Khushi: Open your eyes.

He looked at her. She then showed him a piece of tape. She put is across his lips diagonally, and then another piece diagonally as a cross. He smiled. She held two pieces that were stuck on her finger infront of him.

Khushi: just to make sure. Right.

She smiled and he put the tape on her lips the same way. He smiled and slowly bend down. He picked her up into his arms and looked at her. She wrapped her arms around his neck and shyfuly looked down. He walked over to her bed and gently lay her down. She sat on the bed with her knees bent. She looked down. Gulped and moved down. He closed his eyes, and took a deep breath. Both of their hearts were beating faster. But they both knew that they had to control themselves. She closed her eyes and gave herself a moment to compose herself. She opened her eyes and moved completely to the other side. Aranv opened his eyes. Took a deep deep breath and sat on the bed right beside her. He then brought his legs up. He bend forward and grabbed the blanket. She brought her hands forward as well and they both together fixed the blanket over their legs and pulled it up. She lay down and turned to the side. Making sure to put his back to him. The lay on his back and put his arm behind his head. He wanted to turn his body around and hug her, hold her. Or just to be able to see her. But his heart was not under his control. He sighed and looked up. After a little while they both fell asleep. Comfortably beside each other.

The night passed. And the next morning. The sun shone brightly into the room. Khushi started to slowly open her eyes. She smiled. She had a very peaceful and content sleep. She slowly tried to turn around but wasnt able to. She looked down. His arm was around her. He had hugged her while sleeping. She remembered that Aranv and her were both together there on her bed. She had her back to him. But could feel his head, his warm breath near her. She looked under her head and noticed her other arm under her head. She always had a problem finding the right position with her pillow, but with Aranvs arm therefor her, she was content and comfortable. She slowly turned around her body. Making sure not to move his arm that was hugging her. She now faced him. She slowly raised her hand and put in onto his chest. He tightened his arms around her. Pulling her more into him. She turned her head a bit up, just so his head could rest more comfortably on the pillow while being under her head. She smiled and whispered into his ear.

Khushi: good morning.

He smiled and took a deep breath. She moved her head a little back, but he wouldnt let her. He kept a tight hold on her.

Aranv: mmmm. Ten more minutes please.

Khushi smiled and placed a tender kiss on his cheek. He smiled and took a deep breath and started to open his eyes. He moved his head a little back and she moved hers back as well. She then rested her head onto his arm. She looked at him and he looked at her. Both smiled lovingly at each other. Today was definetely going to be a beautiful day. They both woke up in each others arms, seeing each others smile first thing in the morning. He closed his eyes, tiltled his head a little in and rested his forehead against hers. He stretched his legs and straighted his body for a moment. He rested his body again. In a husky soft morning voice he whispered.

Arnav: Really is a good morning.

He opened his eyes and looked at her. Both lost into each others eyes.

Aranv: Khushi, thanks for believing in us.

Khushi smiled and cupped his face lovingly.

Khushi: lets go Aranv. Its getting late. You have an early morning lecture. Hmm. I will make you chai. I have a later lecture.

Aranv refused to let her go. He looked at her a smiled.

Arnav: no. You rest, and today, I will make chai. Bed tea for you.

Khushi smiled.

Khushi: its ok. Aranv.

Arnav: No. You stay here. I will get it.

He got up and sat up on the bed. She sat up. She fixed the neck area of her kameez. Pulling it up and making sure that it wasnt exposing anything. Arnav looked the other way. Yes they were close, but they both knew what when was appropriate at what time. She smiled. He got up and passed her her duppata. She smiled and took it and put it around her neck. She was about to get up, but aranv looked at her and gestured her to stay in bed. She smiled and nodded her head. He fixed his shirt and opened the door, while rubbing his eyes. He opened the door and went outside. He closed the door behind him.

Aranv went to the kitchen and started to make one cup of tea for the both of them. Nadia woke up and came out of her room. She walked up to Arnav. Aranv kept on looking forward.

Nadia: Good morning Aranv. Making tea?

Aranv smiled and looked at her.

Arnav: good morning. Yes, just for khushi. Sorry. I only make it for her. Please help yourself. All of the stuff is right over there. I will be right back, she is probably waiting for him.

Nadia: You want me to make you a cup too?

She asked him while smiling at him. He sighed and shook his head.

Aranv: no its ok. Khushi and I always share a cup. This is more than enough for the both of us.

With that arnav left and went towards khushis room. Nadia just stood there. She had a confused look on her face. Aranv left the door open. He walked up to khushi and sat down beside her on the bed. He put his legs back into the sheets. She moved smiled and moved closer into him. He wrapped one arm around her from the back, while holding the cup in the other hand. They both snuggled into each other and shared their one cup of chai together.
