I said no. My muse said yes. And well I caved.... She wanted to analyze this, I wanted to ignore it....
So blood on hands....
We all know Anurag has blood on his hands because supposedly he is responsible for Hina Khan's version dying... so I'm not too overly concerned about the "blood on hands" aspect.
But I am worried about the possible implications - because enough efforts have been made to kill cutiepie that I could be made to believe that prerna is shot and the baby is killed.
That is where the two lines of blood flowing in different directions comes in. Both are hurt but only one survives.
Honestly, from a creative perspective, the creatives have no idea what to do with this baby and it's becoming a problem for them. I have had to be creative while facing severe restrictions so I understand how the supposed reboot of the first series imposes some serious constrictions and limitations, both on the creatives and the viewers (who did not sign up for a repeat of Season 1)
So when you look at the objectives this scenario would create...
Yes, it would drive Anurag and Prerna apart, initially.
Yes, Anurag will be distraught on learning that the baby was his,
Yes, Komolika will achieve her "goal" of dividing Anurag and Prerna.
Yes, it would serve as whatever revenge Viraj had planned. (If any. The jury is still out on that one.)
Thus it seems more likely that the baby would die and Anurag be made to feel responsible for it, and ultimately for also failing Prerna.
Killing Prerna will anger viewers, who will feel cheated. yes it may make for a memorable event, but shooting oneself in the foot that way is not something I could see either the creatives or Ekta doing.
