Yes there is more to it than just a divorce.

Jenny dint face any blackash in industry due to her divorce. Nor did deepika despite the fact that there were rumors that she was seeing her Co star while the divorce was happening. Simar too was an ideal bahu back then. The issue with television industry is once you land up in a famous main role which goes on for years people see you as that character and you get typecasted. It is difficult to erase memories of that from peoples mind and find a new good lead role. Not only females even males face this. You have to have patience and keep good investments to get through that. This is where some actors fail. Look at hina khan. She was not offered anything post akshara. She literally had to do BB to get people out of that seeing her as a ideal bahu.

Sonakshi getting removed from Her show for question g in the mhatre case is different from getting thrown out because she is divorced. Getting divorcedis no crime. Unless the infedity thing was proved and it was out in open. Also divorces to lead actress does also get a lot of sympathy and a lot of support too on the contrary. It happened with divyanka when she broke up with her boyfriend. It would have been better if they had shown KPK ending and sonakshi struggling to not find other work due to being typecasted.
