Because it would make for bigger drama if ranbir got to know her reality but abhi and nobody believes him. And balaji like drama like that.

Today that ice-cream vendor said that rain like this is usually indication of something about to happen that nobody expected. Why would writers write that dialogue if it didn't mean anything for upcoming episode? So something good will happen for sure?
