It's the POCs taking back the colonies 😆 It's not even the award,it's the prestige and respect that comes with it which unfortunately has been mostly reserved for white people. It's people EVERYWHERE because of this prestige spending money on non English movies next time around. So yeah all that is bigger than just a statue.

Deserving ho halla for sure. They let all their award winners speak and not just actor-actress, keep the best film at the end giving that priority over actors and include everyone from an accountant to an AD to an executive working in the film industry respect through their remembrance in memoriam. Oscars is flawed yet 100 years ahead of the desi ones.
