Was going through some old popular cases in India and came across Ruchika Girhotra's molestation case in 1990. Read about the whole case online in detail till the end and was completely numb for a long time. One of those cases that shows how Indian judiciary has failed common man time and again and what not can a person do when he has power in his hands and also the resilience of the Indian middle class family. Hats off to Ruchika's family for surviving all the pain they went through just to get their daughter justice for her untimely death. Also learnt that Ashutosh Rana TV show on Star with the badminton background was based on this case.

It is. They have increased the time period from 20 weeks to 24 weeks now.

Btw any idea about those cases, where the mother has health issues, but pregnancy reached beyond 20 weeks(as per current/previous ruling), any exception??
